as long you can purchase power adapter for USB3.0 specification then you're fine. Doesn't really need to be ASUS adapter. Till now, all in the market is just USB2.0 adapter.

PC USB charging is very slow cause it only able to pump 500mA where it's charger pumps 2100mA that's 4x faster process. I've tried 1000mA in which it takes about 10 minutes to charge one percent.
Those who suffer light bleed & shy speaker should seek replacement or RMA it. It might not beat iPad2 speaker loudness but you enjoy stereo effect. Btw Eee pad slider has release, I found this transformer is way better. What's your take? |

I found out TF101 performs at it best rate when batteries temp from tablet max at 33 celcius, anything higher, it lags!
Asus just release slider using Tegra2 so I don't expect seeing Tegra3 soon. |

jananan : I've given up on trying to play all files (video) on TF101. So far MX Mobo and DicePlayer played well. MKV file @ 720p no success yet.
I've tried Dice Player success playing 1080p smooth on AVI file. Not friendly on MP4 |

QUOTE(caterpiez @ Sep 14 2011, 06:35 PM) i just shutdown my eee pad but now i can't turn it back on.already connected to charger with hope it'll alive again but failed.any others suggestion? There is high chances you're facing the same problem i had. Best you send it back for replacement. My case was, if in sleep mode, it can wake easily. But if the tablet is shutdown, it won't boot up unless being power driven by USB cable powered or docking keyboard. I got it replaced and it works now (touch wood!) Anyway sifu, is there any better MP4 video converter for 720p than SUPER? i've tried Super converter but video seems boxy... not smooth surface. I've use DiVX... there some video is choppy and there is smooth. Thanks |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Sep 15 2011, 09:14 PM) Using Handbrake now, btw is it really high processing consumption? all 4 cores being used to 100% Added on September 16, 2011, 9:34 amBtw in handbrake, what's the best video bitrate setup to run smooth? I've able to convert a few files able to play on MX Player smoothly in 720p in H/W acceleration mode. This post has been edited by jimmylim85: Sep 16 2011, 09:34 AM |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Sep 16 2011, 10:07 AM) You can get smooth but the video will still shudder a bit..i couldn't find any configuration that works without making the video shudder..maybe you can check out the guide at XDA forums Well I manage to get smooth rather boxy image. Most of the file success still stutter albeit. I'm not using dice but MX player (like the interface easy to use)Funny thing, GOMTV encoded MTV works perfect for 720p! I don't have to convert it since it's done by GOMTV(Korea). I've tried play SNSD Hoot 720p which is around 244MB, works flawless! Guess I've to find a perfect setting bit rate. The main goal is to play with video bit rate and audio. Perhaps 128kbps audio might reduce it. |

Don't worry about the ads. It only pop up when you pause it. Small size ads.
I wonder why Tegra2 lose to A4 chip. Both is 1GHz but TG2 have dual core! The same clip, played on TF101 choppy but iPhone 4 plays it flawless. Tonight have search again the perfect setting. |

So I guess Tegra2 is at it peak Performance in which won't able to play 720p or even 1080p at it's best level.

I've tried using Mobo Player, able to play converted MP4 from Handbrake at video bitrate of 3000kbps. The file size just 75mb for 3:17 and can't play smoothly on MX Player
Any user had tried using XiliSoft converter with Nvidia CUDA optimised? |

QUOTE(rock_world @ Sep 17 2011, 09:02 AM) between eee pad and ipad2 which one is powerfull??..i keep telling my fren that asus is more worth comparing to ipad2 Both are powerful but android stands out being more user customable. iPad is purely user friendly and basic. TF101 has true HD display giving crisp image. But video playback lack at some point. |

Guys, finally i have found the best converter to run on Asus Transformer TF101.
Playback : MX Video Player (FOC) Converter : Xilisoft HD Converter version 6.0 This converter comes with CUDA optimised, helps me to convert blazing fast. 4 cores on GTX260... No more choppy scence, on 8000kbps video bit rate... Say bye bye to Handbrake... |
