Here's a comparison side by side between IBM Thinkpad T23 with 14" SXGA+ 1400x1050 Resolution & also Toshiba Satellite M30 with 15.4" WXGA 1280x800 Clear SuperView.

I m using M40 here..
Personally i dun feel like to go for IBM..Why?
1. Comservative 70's or 80's design..
2. Trackpoint is a big NO to me...Imaging pointing a little finger on a nipple thingy to move ur cursor r not big fun
3. Normal LCD screen
4. Normal specs with no advance graphic cards
5. Not made in Japan liao...

What I like about IBM
1. Good batt life
2. Solid magnesium casing

good batt life ,for my R52 ,the batt life is a bit lausy.

I like my IBM bc of the

1) build-in light
2) touch pad and also track point
3) Nice Casing
4) Access IBM ,Rescue and Recovery and also the Security Chipset.

notebook.com.my quoted the z series at 5599. but i don't know whether that's a the t or m version.

went to LYP last week and asked abt the z series. no news yet from anyone on its arrival. probably very soon coz the press announcement was already last week.

My team lead is using the Tablet X41.

What I can tell is, it is fantastic...everything is perfect. Size, speed, "stamina", etc......

By the way, I am working for IBM actually.....but now IBM PCD department already acquired by Levnovo, the largest IT company in China, which means all ThinkPad and ThinkCentre in Malaysia are now selling by Lenovo Malaysia. But I can graurantee the quality or our product will be as good as last time....even better......
