I used to replace my r60 lcd this year where my dots are around 6-7 at ttdi vads plaza ground floor ibm centre (thank god the lcd come out so many within the warranty period)

it's fast, takes 2-3 working days, am happy with the current samsung panel, whereby last time is BOE-Hydis

Not for us, unless u r a fanboy of either 1 wink.gif

To be more specify, both rams are generally good which have wide range of compatibility of laptops

Usually choosing among memory brands will become more precise on desktop platform, especially for overclockers, for the sake of pushing the value ram beyond the limit

yes definitely, ur T7200 supports 64bit.. however the majority are still using 32bit as the current software still stands on the 32 bit side

superflc, the max ram supported on R60 is 4gb, and u'll hardly notice the difference either dual or single channel w 2gb or 3gb n above

unless u r greatly in multi tasking, or ram eater application, or else, 1gb w win xp will be just nice

wow wat a persuasive link from lenovo tongue.gif

but if browsing through previous pages, austin used 4gb on his T60 before, and 945gm chipset actually supports 4gb physically, but u need a 64bit proc n 64 os to fully enable it

http://www.futureshopforums.ca/futureshop/...message.id=1539

but it's better to play safe, use 3gb biggrin.gif

hehehe..

i'll prefer to get

a) 1xkingston 2gb stick at RM140 (2GB is really enuf, and single stick can upgrade later n save battery life too tongue.gif) and

b) 1x 160gb hdd.. as the current 60gb is way too slow, it'll give noticeable performance compare to 4gb ram at my current usage

cheers

hehe SMD, enjoy ur x61! biggrin.gif

superflc, yay! it's really a good bargain, but RM400 is just too much for me tongue.gif u can clone it using acronis true image software, or norton ghost.. and yes u must swap ur ext 250gb sata w ur internal, u'll sense the real speedy performance brows.gif

QUOTE(Rubik @ Jan 10 2008, 06:40 PM)
I find it incredible that i spent an entire day going to places like Digital Mall, Low Yat, MidValley, KLCC..etc..., ready to purchase a X61 and, unbelivebly, NO ONE carries any stock. They are all back to back purchase, must put deposit down and wait 1 week.

Does anyone here know which shop actually has thinkpads in stock ??? I see hundreds of Acer/Compaq/HP available.

Austin is a reliable and genuine seller, u can put ur trust on him wink.gif

if u r worry for the warranty, IBM warranty centre is actually looking at the registered date online

i claimed mine before, they nvr need a receipt for it, and warranty done in 3 days biggrin.gif
