Just flashed dual ROM GR-5 + CM-204 by ChinaGB. I think this ROM is excellent because it's has 2 ROMs in 1.

BTW, ICS stable release is coming soon. Alpha ICS was released at xda forum but not stable yet.

hi, wana ask sifus here, which RIL compatible with galnet miui ics 2.11.26? im using baseband 725, RIL 0218 (10b europe open), and i encountered the airplane mode on bug, been using galnet miui ics for 2weeks d now first time encountering this bug, it happened after i check maxis data usage with *136*9#, mayb if chg RIL will solve this problem?

Was away due to work. About your question above. What i do for my stock is

1. Root & install clockworkmod
2. Use clockworkmod to do backup
3. Copy out the whole backup folder to PC

To restore,
1. Wipe the phone to stock (how to do, up to you, nvflash,kdz,smartflash, etc)
2. Go into your phone and copy back the backup folder into the internal storage (this is not the sdcard)
3. Boot into recovery mode and select restore (this will restore from backup)
4. Unroot
5. Extra safe step, look for XDA / modaco for flash to remove cwm. *this depends on you whether you want to remove the cwm or not

P/S: Well i walk into the LG center and ask them to flash GB & just tell them mine was froyo (well my backup was froyo after i restore ) and they just do. Oh ya, its original set and not AP and still underwarranty so no charges there

Just redownload RIL and select the froyo v10e for asia. This TEMPORARY solve the problem (Note: i mean temporary is because there is bug in the network, when you restart your phone have to manually set network right? This doesn't appear on the weekly version but only on stable release ICS 2.11.26 - I'm still waiting for the next release which fix this, until then, i'll be using weekly

What to do, users are disappointed by how LG responded and rather go another maker for better service.

If its not because of the price wwise..I wouldn't think of getting this phone...You wouldn't know how many time samsung had dissapointed me..

Yup it will wipe everything, which is why you use the LG updater to perform backup 1st before flash and restore after that (well so far i know it confirm works for contact, calender, as for games data, apps data not sure)

P/S : at least they release a proper base rom for developers to improve. Compare that to LG

Hahaha i see someone else 'experience' Samsung aftersales service. What to do, they already earned your money and move on with new stuffs. What i feel is atleast they give you good stuff and proper ROM for the phone

For me this phone is going to be toy phone until the ROM is mature, i'm using another phone as main, cant afford to have phone which
1. Battery not as good
2. Network not stable due to new baseband

I'm using zte blade for main phone. Running 2G last me around 2-3 days. 3G with data around 2 days. No issue on baseband what-so-ever that i need to reboot / check from time to time to make sure my network is really connected. (this i solved with MIUI weekly + baseband 725 + RIL v10e but still NOT happy with it)

Other than that, its a darn good smartphone (minus the battery )

Yeah they solve it already but the stable release only comes every 30 days. So still need to wait for it to be release
