i though that boomerang still apply till now? cox u still dmg the tail.
in my case up to hr6 in mhfu is still challenging compare mh3.
in mh3 monster is unpredictable but still avoidable
in mhfu, when the monster whack you, you die for no reason, making you frustrate like hell

Ya, that was pain in the ass. Probably thicker HP (to meet Grank standard)

And, not just hits us as hard as its stronger.... remember we're in HR6(7) gears only hahaha...

Those quests are Custom Quests. They are purposely made to those who want a challenge and find MHP3rd too easy

If tail HP is 3000 for example.

Gun the tail 3000 damage, theoretically the tail is at its peak to fall off.

Boomerang deals 1 Cut damage.

The tail falls off?

IMHO, No.

To cut a tail, you need 3000 Cut/Slash damage. It's on a separate damage.

Or else, gunners rejoice again as they don't need to have 1 ESP armor to do tail cutting job anymore.

Now boomerang is more like a tool to detonate bombs (if timed bomb isn't to your liking) or to wake up the boss to walk to your trap in a greater distance than to "SELECT" kick and potentially getting Roar stun and truck run-over. haha.

just back from the english channel. In 1 afternoon, already fight amatsu, alatereon, black tiggy, all of them is my 1st fight. I always die, dragged the team down, but they are quite the sport. Amatsu is so unfair with the OHKO laser beam.. But i managed to get 2 amatsu jewel, hehe
