QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 5 2011, 11:19 PM) This is different mah.....i dun care about bling-bling asthetic mods....but this is like 3 core CPU with one core disabled and now can enable/unlock this core also....haha. A headlamp level switch = performance mod...???? Wow....!!! You will then need to spend more money to get a headlamp that can be controlled by that switch, u know that right?? |

I have assumed that our headlamps dont have the motor, as only HID projectors headlamps (like the Evo X ones) have... as the motor is controlling the projector lens and moves it up and down along with the cut off shield...
Could bro Shahie show pics of his headlamps?? Better yet, take video of the Inspira headlamp moving up and down.... that will be soooooo coooool.... !!! Added on July 6, 2011, 12:18 am QUOTE(Pip_X @ Jul 6 2011, 12:04 AM) Go buy from Japanparts site la.... QUOTE(shahie @ Jul 6 2011, 05:21 AM) All, my chasis is 3036, only front & rear windscreen with mitsu logo (both side still with proton logo)... YES,,, mine is still STOCK HEADLAMPS. If you want to reconfirm yours, you may open up your driver side dash ( where you have 3 vacant switch area) and i'm sure, the harness connector for that levelling switch is sitting on one of your vacant switch, probably at middle. Let's try.... This is consider uncomplete installation by proton. I repeat, i just plug my new levelling switch, connect the harness and that all... Please try... It's worth. Yes, the wiring harness for the switch is at the back of the 3 blank switch, nicely tucked away in its own compartment. There is only one harness, if i recall correctly.Just didnt know that the headlamps had the motor module for adjusting the levels. This is so cool...!!! QUOTE(DM3 @ Jul 6 2011, 04:49 PM) MT can whack all u wan without worryin on the gear box and can hit beyond 220km/h. i hit redline/beyond 6.5k rpm at 2nd gear with rpm cut off twice QUOTE(evoHahn @ Jul 6 2011, 05:19 PM) ha ha.. also experienced that in 3rd gear LoL Yup.... u maintain redline for too long, our Smart car will punish you by cutting the Happens to both MT and CVT gearboxes.... Smart indeed... And you two are really gung ho.... maintain redline at gears 2 and 3..... |

QUOTE(Johnnycartoon @ Jul 6 2011, 06:12 PM) Technically yes, but modern cars have ECU and sensors to help prolong the life...In both auto and paddle mode, the gearbox is the same, its just that in D mode, there is no fixed ratio (unlike a conventional gearbox)... the CVT will maintain the best rpm to suit the speed and driver requirement, but as there is no fixed ratio, you wont feel the gears going up and down... just look at your RPM meter, u will see it "hunt" and you hear your engine suddenly roars as the CVT is trying to maintain the best rpm for the required speed... In Paddle Shift mode, you are simply telling the ECU to engage the "fixed ratio" mode to simulate 6 speeds.... in this mode, you control when to upshift or downshift... thus allowing you to drag the car for better torque in the MIVEC zone... As said in the previous few posts, in both mode, the CVT will upshift automatically or even cut off if the redline RPM is maintained for prolonged period. This is done to preserve the life of the gearbox in the event the driver forgets to upshift... Best solution is that if you do drag redline RPM most of the time, regular and short period gaps for CVT oil is recommended.... i'd ignore Proton's rubbish recommended period of 80,000km and stick to Mitsu's 40,000km, in fact, if you do drag a lot... do it at 20,000km... A word of caution tho... frequent dragging at redline RPM WILL reduce the total lifetime of the gearbox in the long run.... |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 6 2011, 06:46 PM) My inspiring moment today...nearly kena tangkap for running red lights....these cops are hiding behind the flyover near the junction between Damansara Uptown/Damansara Jaya near the LDP. I was moving quiet slowly near the traffic light (Saya Pemandu Berhemah ), suddenly see yellow, then step on it!!! Managed to reach the other side when it turns red...turn right and voila...tons of cops crawling there..one fat cop was literally glued to the flyover wall to catch people....luckily i didn't get stopped...coz i think i made it over just in time for the lights to turn red....hahahaha. Pemandu Berhemah now goes on to running red lights...???? The Power of the MIVEC.. Run red lights with confidence. What monster have the Inspira turn this uncle into... Add-On: This is a case of Pemandu Berhemah versus Polis BerKhemah.... This post has been edited by Poadster: Jul 6 2011, 06:51 PM |

QUOTE(Pip_X @ Jul 6 2011, 07:43 PM) Are you sure? I pernah rev redline over 30seconds but my gear never jump to N, doing amout 220kmh that time. At 220km/h, you are prolly on 5th (unlikely to be 4th), and only for 30 seconds???? Rolling downhill leh... Run at that top speed at redline for more than 3-5 minutes, or run prolonged in 3rd gear at 7,000RPM (not pu$$yfooted 6,000RPM ya)... u will see it shut down.... and slow to a crawl.... Added on July 6, 2011, 8:00 pm QUOTE(Johnnycartoon @ Jul 6 2011, 07:48 PM) @pip_x = i think is the abs tat is running tat cause the vibrating brake pedal... most ppl say tat the brake pedal will vibrate when the abs is activated ABS will kick in only when the brakes are slammed hard (pedal to the metal), and the vibrations is controlled and rhythmic.... like thud thud thud thud thud in sequence and perfect rhythmic beat to each other....If the vibration is violent(ish) and shakes like crazy, then it should be the discs are wrapped, or the brake pedals are worn unevenly... check the disc, do you see grooves like on a 70's vinyl record, then its the pads... Check the disc, pads and even hose... This post has been edited by Poadster: Jul 6 2011, 08:00 PM |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 7 2011, 08:56 AM) Wei, people (especially Poadster, XcInspire and Soothy), stop stepping on my tail!!! bruce.gif Me not step your tail (and why the heck is your TAIL out in the first place????)...btw, any of you guys have drive up Genting with your Inspira yet? My mileage now is 3K...ok to drive to Genting?? Me pointing out the traits of a Pemandu Berhemah as opposed to daredevil and need for speed drivers like me and XCInspire... QUOTE(XCInspire @ Jul 7 2011, 10:59 AM) Where got step your tail wor.... we only glorifying your permandu berhemah skills ma... U sure u wanna convoy with this Pemandu Berhemah ka??? He is shifting in his driving habits wor.... u cant tell what his next move when taking the corner is wor....3K can go zoom zoom uphill, any hill di... Since ur car not installed the rubbers yet (not blink2 asthetics mods), go slow on the corners else ur car may be messy... from ppl vomitting... no joke. Poadster n me done rubbers so passengers no complain... even with our driving.. kekeke... Go easy with ur paddles and try not to use to slow down the car at corners. Ok to downshift. to gain speed. Slow down car then downshift to low gear when going down hill is ok, dun just downshift w/o slowing down. It will stress ur metal ribbed rubber cvt belt... Anyhow it has INVEC III, it will know how to engage lower gears when it detects speed increasing when accelerator not pressed (eg rolling downhill). When you going? We can do a convoy... hahaha... And you also sure u wanna go up with InspiRED (aka InspiHELL) too...??? |
