is it Samsung or Android problem that we must create multiple entry for the contact that has more than 1 number unlike feature phone that can combine all of them under the same name?

I think it is originally from Android.. because I've been using Sony Ericsson, Samsung and other ROM such as CyanogenMod also the same..

do u mean when u transfered single contact with multiple number to Android.. and it seperate the contact numbers into many contact?

Hi Guyz.... i bought this SGR last week.... working good... and i tried most of data usage monitor apps for this phone but non of them working properly, any idea what app is the best for SGR for monitor the cell data usage?

yes. that's what i meant. my case is that the numbers being deleted when i transferred to android. luckily, it's not a lot.

may i know how?

Eh? Quite weird. I mean, for my Tab 10.1, all my contacts will auto sync. You can set them I think. I'm not an android phone user but for my tab, all the contacts for emails, facebook, calendar sync automatically.

I think.. all phones are the same.. u can try transfering from a Nokia's phonebook to a Sony Ericsson's phonebook.
or Sony Ericsson's phonebook to Samsung's phonebook.. or any etc..

ABC /3

EFG /1
EFG /2

all in seperate one.. is it like this? I think because of the CSV file format which is a bit stupid..

yes. if i have this guy called James with 3 different numbers. i'll have 3 James instead in display even though it's the same guy. so, is it possible to combine all of them?

sure y not. copy the numbers, go to any james click edit, then click the + sign to add new number and paste it.

can please let me know the best app to monitor the mobile data usage for this SGR....... and as i know the latest update firmware for SR is 2.3.6 .... but when i check with Samsung Kies and try to update through the phone its aid no updates... any idea? or i need to flash the whole ROM to get new updates?

yes u can.. by a 3rd party software..

I always use MyPhonExplorer from http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
from there u can edit contact very easy.. but u still have to do one by one..

but at least.. much2 easier with a keyboard and a mouse rather than the phone right?

best app for 3g monitoring is 3gwatchdog..

for android 2.3.6 you cannot update it via KIES or auto update from the phone itself.. the 2.3.6 is not yet coming to our country officially.. but u can get stock from downloadable from XDA Dev forum and flash it via ODIN.

thanks Blackthorn... i m downloading the firmware now..... anyway for data usage monitor app, i already tried 3GWatchdog but its not accurate... still count in KB only after few days also never reach 1MB. In fact u used alot of data for SGR.

not possible without 3rd party software. once i pressed edit, there's no + sign to press already.

same here too.. I just flashed newer ZSKK5 ROM and ardatdat 1.3A kernel.
OC to max 1350mhz.. so far so good..

did u notice any different between 2.3.5 and 2.3.6?
the only thing I noticed was.. at the home screen u can scroll forth and back continously..

yes true bro.... the same ting i also realize that the home screen u can scroll forth and back continuously... other thing now i can download games via NVidia Tegra Zone which last time shows error msg that this game not available for your region.
