Snapball Added on September 24, 2007, 10:56 pmHi Sifu, my laptop screen brightness is too bright for my eye so I use the function key f6 to adjust the brightness from level 8 to level 4 but everytime when I restart or turn on the laptop, the brightness will be back to level 8. How can I set the brightness so it will stay there forever? Thanks! This post has been edited by yeeck06: Sep 24 2007, 10:56 PM

Thanks! click on the battery icon at sys tray once, then pop out a menu. then choose more power option, at there u can set few power plans. u may choose diff profile for diff brightness of the screen, display turn off time... alternatively, go to control panel>Hardware and sound>Power option. same thing can be done there.

I not sure it has been asked before or not, but fliping over 55 pages is going to kill me somehow. I wanna ask something regarding to the Satellite M200. Somehow, I couldn't find the RAM setting for my built-in graphic. I mean I wanna distribute more RAM for my built-in graphic. If you can help me with it, I'll very appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

So its not like others built-in graphic that we can share whatever amount memory we wanted to share? Oh well, thanks anyway, now I've gained 1 more knowledge.

Hello everyone, just joined the club for about a week. Bought a M200-E412 came loaded with Vista home basic.
1 thing I must say... Vista is kind of slow and loads too many stuffs. And the worst thing.... my outlook 2003 couldn't run. Checked the internet and noticed that many people face this problem. Anyway its Microsoft's issue.
I think Toshiba notebook rocks but should have let consumers have choices on their preferred softwares.
Cheers.
Added on September 25, 2007, 9:29 pmOh ya, i'm thinking of downgrading the Vista to XP Pro but not sure whether is there any compatibility issues with any hardware drivers. Anyone knows?
Thanks.

I might just try to downgrade and see. The M200's config should perform real good with XP.

I have a desktop with Pentium 4, 1.8ghz processor using windows XP pro. I can feel that it is faster than my new laptop! Will consider to downgrade as well. I think I might upgrade my laptop ram from 1ghz to 2ghz. Probably it will improved the speed kua. This post has been edited by yeeck06: Sep 26 2007, 07:41 AM
