Interesting news from SH Management. Just got a nice notice from them. They are removing perimeter guardhouse and gates "for residents' convenience" WTH?!
When we were buying houses UEM ad clearly said "3-tier security" which INCLUDED that perimeter gate/guardhouse as tier#1. Now they are trying to cut their operational costs by discarding it WITHOUT ANY CONSENT from owners. Is it usual thing in Malaysia when developer just removes thing that was ALREADY PAID by property owners? When gave a call to management they told me this note originates from project dept. But refused to give me a phone number of somebody who's responsible... |

QUOTE(noblebaby @ Oct 15 2014, 11:25 PM) WTF?! Which perimeter gate/guardhouse? I think Beethoven, mozart n schburt has their own guardhouse. Remove all? They want to keep those "precint" guardhouses in Beethoven, Mozart, etc. But remove main one @ SymphonyHills entrance. I'm totally against this! Why the hell they didn't ask for owners consent before deciding on it?! They have already hiked maintenance fees from estimated 0.15psf to 0.2psf... now they cut security facilities... what's next?! |

QUOTE(HELLO HELLO @ Oct 16 2014, 08:53 AM) Rm800 fee Consider at low side. Dpc land gng smaller size some more.... heard some even far way above this price. Look, it's not about the price. It's about developer doing things without owners' consent. They are scrapping security level they've promised to provide |

QUOTE(corleone74 @ Oct 17 2014, 08:37 AM) partly yes, but personally think that the issue is bigger than that and may need ammendment to legislation in future. SH is strata titled with multiple precinct parcels sitting within a larger developmental parcel, correct? Correct. And that's my concern they want to make those pieces of land between precint as "municipal" land |

QUOTE(noblebaby @ Oct 17 2014, 09:48 AM) we cannot allow this to happen. The clubhouse/playground area can not be public. So far i know that one of residents also not happy and will try to get his phone number from management today. I'm sure there are more...how is the feeling and reaction of those who are staying in Beethoven now? |

QUOTE(noblebaby @ Oct 17 2014, 11:28 AM) Yep, i also have it saved + brochure that says the same:DEVELOPMENT LEVEL SECURITY = Tier#1 PRECINT = #2 SMARTHOME /w ALARM = #3 That's what they sold us. So either they lied to us that time, either they are lying now. I don't care about their legal/title issues and relationship /w municipal authorities. I PAID FOR 3-TIER SECURITY, SO UEM HAS TO PROVIDE IT.... in a "do or die" fashion. |

BTW, changed my mind about Opera House at SH. Despite we were not happy with food quality @ restaurant there around 3-4 months ago, we decided to give them a chance and hold a birthday party for one of our kids there. They proposed quite a broad variety of options for the custom menu, so we were able to pick really a good set. What can I say, reality went beyond our expectations. Everything was done just perfect, quality of the food was great! Staff was very helpful and friendly. All of our guests were really happy, so we were pleased as well
