it sounds like a something-that-should-have and what's more, lesser wallet damage flex.gif

for pure DAC, if just only for desktop use, i would love to point out Hifiman Express HM101, cheap entry level DAC
but no one bringing that stuff here yet, but again, i guess E10 would do the work better hmm.gif

CMOY can be use with normal battery, rechargeable battery(with upgrade kit) and also with power adapter directly.

I use adapter when at home and battery when out. If you change the opamp, better to use the adapter as some opamp use more power.

yes, it's fun to change the opamp everyday.

i`m thinking of buying amp for my use,(thinking FiiO)
i will be using it with my headphone Superlux 668B connect with my pc(SonicGear A5) or my N8,(portable)
can anybody recommend me which one,
low budget>E5
2 in 1>E7
high budget>E11
or any model that u know,

2stepdance is a pure amp, if i'm not wrong. if it sounds like the previous model, stepdance, its a clean and natural sounding amplifier, with a slightly warm touch.

The 2Stepdance amp is a pretty good and solid sounding portable amp, with a fairly flexible 'upgradable' power option when you hook it up to a higher voltage power source (eg 15v Energizer Battery Pack). However, the caveat is it does not come with a DAC.

take the E7 and hold on to it until you have the wide amount of money. E7 is good enough for dac+amp

get fiio e11, i had both, and i prefer e11, very impressive device, has gain and boost which hiipo box + dont have, and box+ no vol control, e11 uses potentiometer

W/ laptop only, or w/ DAP as well? If laptop only, get the E10. (or any other DAC/Amp combo)

I didn't have a DAC or any decent sc, so it's a must before getting an amp. Add limited budget to the equation, E10 became an easy choice over E11 and others.

Also, a Hifiman Express: HM-101 might be a good choice for those looking for DAC only. hmm.gif

p/s: one drawback.. E11 cant be used when it is charging, so u need a spare battery and charger, so it wont interrupt ur "sensation"
