For these two headphones, if you plan to go for portable, can really consider Cayin C5. It's more to the warm and bright side with strong driving power. Tested with most of the big cans and able to drive to a listenable stage.
If you can up your budget a little bit more, can consider Aune B1 class A discrete component amp. It's very analogue sound, smooth, warm, and musical. Overall performance is better than C5, able to drive the headphones openly with good dynamic. Its reference headphone is Sennheiser HD650. So not really a problem for driving big cans. Of course we can't expect it to compare with the pure desktop amp at the same price range.

For desktop amp, can consider Bravo Ocean tube amp. Cheap and with strong output power. Stock tube is a bit rough, forward and aggressive though. Can consider upgrading the tube to some vintage one. Recommend RCA 5963.

Can someone tell me what really is amp and dac?

By basic means I know amp is amplify the frequency
and dac is convert to analog to sound better.

How do they really differ from each other?

Had to get amp/dac, my headphone is not up to my par dy.

One converts your digital signal which is encoded in 1s and 0s into an analogue waveform which is listenable while the other amplifies that signal that was converted.

I have the same question as the guy above. How big of a difference would I have if I use a good DAC or amp.
Also, what if I just want something not so high end? just a simple usb DAC for the laptop or phone etc, will there be a difference in sound quality?

Think of it as a analogy, lets take car as example, DAC is your engine, AMP is the electronic components which controls the whole car in conjunction with it in work, convert power into performance.

Imagine if you're implanting a lousy engine into a Ferrari, it will bottleneck the components, and vice versa.
It's better to balance it in term of performance and SQ for both DAC and AMP.
