Never heard much of Asgard 2 nor Lyr powering the HD800 as most comparisons I have seen is comparing the Vali against the M/G setup to which the vali seems to hold it's ground for being something so cheap but gives a nice musicality tone to the HD800.

For solid state amps, you'll need to be careful on how some reviewers and owners rate their tonality signature as it can vary for one another, like for one most seem to agree that the Violectric V200 is slightly on the darker edge spectrum whereas the Schiit Mjolnir is more aggressive sounding.

Hi all, can suggest me some good portable amp to pair with stoner's acoustic ud100? Will be using with Shure SRH 440 (40%), Vsonic GR01 (40%), and with Hifiman re-0(20%). Previously using Hippo cricri but faulty already. My budget is around rm300-rm500.

I'll look into it, thanks. But in your opinion should I consider the cayin? The thing about Fiio is there are easily available but I don't mind the cayin if it is a better pairing with my current setup. I don't have time to go shopping for audition though. I'm relying very much on other review.

On a side note, i need a recommendation whether should i consider fiio x3 as well as portable DAP? i'm currently using Android phone with Stoner's acoustic UD100 and searching for an amp.
should i buy an amp or just the fiio x3 and keep the ud100? anyone can help me? which is better?

I have never used an Amp/DAC, but thought of looking for one portable Amp/DAC to pair with my iPhone/iPad/Laptop as I travel quite often. Appreciate if any of you guys can suggest me brands/models.

I am looking for one small enough (around my hp size or smaller), budget up to 2k (if it's worth the price, if there is a cheaper with a better sound then why not) and something which help drive the clean sound and punchy bass. Currently having a Bose QC3 and Etymotic ER4PT.

I looked online and am attracted to the V-Moda VAMP Verza cuz it's attachable to the hp and online reviews which were quite good, but I couldn't find any shops bringing in these.

Well, below 1k maybe? Since the E17 already costs 400++, an upgrade will definitely cost more than that. I forgot to mention that I'm using the E17 together with the E09K. Suggest me both DAC only and DAC/AMP. How's the Modi/Magni btw? This is for a desktop setup so don't care about portability.
