QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Aug 29 2012, 01:28 AM) I'm new to the audiophiles world. well for starters, can consider maybe a Fiio e9, enough juice for desktop low-end speakers i guessAfter doing researches, I'm more or less understand how head-fi works.. like the basic ipod>dac>amp>phones combo.. but I'm still rather confused with PC audio setup.. what kind of setup I can have if I have a entry bookshelf speaker like r1900t3? let me know I'm posting at wrong place.. but do we have a guide for starters? ![]() can attach e7 or e17 and becomes like this ![]() QUOTE(dennisyeoh @ Aug 29 2012, 06:24 PM) i think the r1900t3 is a good enough speaker itself since it already has a build in amp inside it. maybe you can try get a good dac? can use e9 and line out to use speaker's ampQUOTE(amir93 @ Aug 30 2012, 11:40 AM) Hi sifus. I got myself a FAD Adagio III. currently pairing with Zune HD. So, i got few questions. you can try hippo cricri+1. What's the best DAC/AMP for the Adagio III ? (i'm aware that zune hd doesnt have line out) 2. How much it costs if i recable Shure 530 with ATH cable ? (sorry if out of topic but i think better i just sum up into this posts.) QUOTE(enriquelee @ Sep 1 2012, 11:22 AM) Can i have a recommendation for sound card? if you really insist on a sound card which we audio ppl seldom will use, the ASUS Xonar Essence seriesMain usage will be music and gaming. Must be able to play 24 bits music. I am using Razer mako 2.1 speakers. Budget say about RM300 if not, you can try a lot of extrenal usb dac+amp, which is said and majority proven to be a better option for pc QUOTE(xbbshampoo @ Sep 2 2012, 07:58 PM) is there any good amp that i can pair with my t-muso and ath m50? perhaps a hippo cricri+ but not sure bout the mac drivers thoumac is the source budget around RM 300 |

I heard the signal would be degraded. and.. I plan to acquire ATH-M50.. need advice on how should I setup them so that I can fully utilize them: x-540 for movies and games (if can hook up R1900T3 along also not bad) r1900t3 and m50 for music at first I thought of skipping the DAC because I already have the xonar dx OR use E09 to hook up both r1900t3 and m50 E9 is a DAC as well? E9i or E9K? E10 works well with M50 and R1900TIII? This post has been edited by JohnDiew0107: Sep 3 2012, 06:35 AM |

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ Sep 3 2012, 01:28 AM) word of caution, your mako already have an internal amp. Its not wise to add another amp to the output. Yes, you are right. After recheck the Mako guide, it stated clearly. It has build in amp.I am more confuse now!!! Then what should i do to further improve the SQ? |

Hi, I had a chance to try the Beats Mixr last Friday, I like it. I mainly listen to electronic dance music, EDM and occasionally some jazz and a little bit of RnB.
I liked how i can feel the bass. It's punchy, strong and makes my music come to life. As all of you may have figured out, I don't really care that much for the trebles or soundstage of the headphone. My question is, what other headphones would you recommend besides these Mixr's based on the preference I have given above (BASS). I don't want some clarity shit with no bass feel, just a pair of cans that would blow/rattle my heart out when I put them on --> BOOM BOOM BOOM. Please don't recommend me the Sony XB1000. I don't have elephant ears. Budget is 1k. BASS --> Closed type --> Quite portable --> Clarity/soundstage/yadayadayada aka not important. Appreciate all the help. Thank you! |
