Go for a better speakers, there's no need to waste your money with sound cards when you don't have a better speakers. I own myself a C3, and a sound card won't do a thing.

thx for the advice, i actually decided to get either one of those, soundstick 3, t3, aego m or sp2500

aego-m is a good starter
im not convinced by soundstick subwoofer although the overall design raise scores.
sp2500.. took the concept of basic tweeter +woofer +subwoofer & good internal tapi failed look

i used sp2500 before, really powerful, the other 2 no experience, maybe drop by mac store to try first

Around 600 or 700 and below would be good.
My eyes so far are on the Objective2 amp or the hyrid HiFiMan EF2A.
Not so sure about fiio being that good for d5000. But if you have some experience with it do share.

With your budget, upgrade your headphones first

What you do need is a DAC + Amp for your PC. Do consider the highly rated FiiO E17 portable DAC/Amp combo
