Added on June 20, 2012, 12:53 pmInformation for the PD trip.

Seems to me would be fast current and it's almost a full day on the current, thus very good day for jigging as my deductioon ler. smile.gif

High: 3:36 AM MYT / 1.85 m
Low: 10:18 AM MYT / 0.99 m
High: 4:34 PM MYT / 2.16 m
Low: 11:22 PM MYT / 1.11 m

Reading:-
1. Current and tide going highest at 3.30am on 15th July 2012
2. From fast to dead current would be 7 hours later at 1015am
3. From 10am onwards will be fast current till it reaches max of 2.16m at 4.30pm
4. We would probably fishing till 6.30pm then heads back to shoreline. Thus 2 hours of slow and dropping of tide and fast current again.

Just info smile.gif

PD jigging trip on the 15th officially myself with Bro Vioxmonsta smile.gif

Psst... It could be field test of Shimano latest gears. Also both the Shimano field tester(myself and Jeff) together with Ironman and one/two of his friends smile.gif

Vanquish anyone? biggrin.gif

Added on June 20, 2012, 7:39 pmFor fishfinder, google for Garmin echo 100 or 350c. Both affordable and resolution close to iPhone. Fast response and sweeping too!

For the echo100, it's at rm350, black and white with max depth of 600ft

For the echo350c, it's at rm899, full color with Furuno color scheme for easier identification of target fish. Max depth at 1500ft

hmm correction there, the new range are mostly the new CI4+ and super MG ( magnesium), CI4+ is lighter than CI4
*
Bro Ein,

I didnt see any new CI4 in the catalogue.

The plus version is definitely lighter than the non plus version in CI4. As i'm referring to the material used here, perhaps do enlighten us what is the correction factor? Am worried that i gave wrong infos.. smile.gif

Attached is the catalogue info i saw. smile.gif

ah yeah that pic  illustrate this point really well about the difference in Ci4 and CI4 plus (+)

previous  rareniums, and the black-red stradics are all constructed with CI4 material ( previous stuff)

meanwhile CI4 ( plus) is a new material formula, all the new reels this year have CI4 +, which is precisely lighter than the previous stuff. Compare the 200 gram stradic CI4 2500 and the all new 2012 rarenium 2500 at 190grams.

CI4 material is impervious to rust, which means it cannot corrode.

The magnesium you mentioned is a kind of super magnesium alloy ( super MG), which is used on the recent vanquish peppered with CI4 plus.  I think the CI4+ material is prolly lighter than the super MG. Oh! I hope you get your xmas gift, but it better be a vanquish or the new solid rarenium 2012 ( good all round bash reel ) .  smile.gif
*
Bro Ein,
Incorrect ler.

The pic illustrates the magnesium and the Ci4 only. It does not mentioned any part of Ci4+ as per say. Enlarge the picture and you will get to notice that it actually compares the magnumlite vs Ci4.

As for the Ci4+, it is only available in Rarenium series, no other series have Ci4+. Yes there are new items this year but none having Ci4+ besides Rarenium

For vanquish, it did not state any of the Ci4 material .

Super looking forward for the new toys! (if it came early).... LOL biggrin.gif

Bro Ein,
Thanks for the link. Hmmn... it's not stated in my catalogue tho. Sometimes JDM version and our local version have differences thus making the JDM version more valuable in a way. Judging from my info, the Vanquish should be coming from Nippon country and i guess you were right smile.gif Even perhaps, the catalogue didnt specify and causes confusions

Thanks for clearing the clouds biggrin.gif

Added on June 21, 2012, 7:44 pmBTW, talking about leader, have you tried a brand called Alpha-Ex (Alpha as in the symbol alpha)

It's soft and pretty good in my experiences.

For my light jigging, i prefer the Alpha-Ex so that my jigs would tango freely. But if big game like deep water or popping, Galis would be my preferences.. smile.gif Harder leaders for hardcore i assume LOL

BTW, since you will be in Peninsular, would there be a chance for the whole group meet up? TT perhaps?
