The bench and Smith had people waiting for each other for their chest workouts yesterday, and then sit unloved today. I love it when there's no one getting in the way.
On that pic, yeah props. One of you guys could probably curl that red telephone booth in the background. |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Aug 23 2011, 06:30 PM) I love training legs in my gym. The squat rack is perpetually empty. The only people who squat are me and 2 of my friends. The squat rack is more popular in my gym. There'll almost always be someone in there doing squats, deadlifts, rows and heavy bench presses for the safety bars. Then of course there are squat rack curlers, but thankfully they do their curls on different days. I'll never understand them, though. They never curl more than 30kg, but they still take up the squat rack to curl instead of using the other barbells with fixed weight for curling (which goes up to 30kg coincidentally). Maybe curling in the squat rack elevates you one step closer to IFBB pro status? One day they might just point out to you and say "Hey, no squatting in the curl rack!". |

QUOTE(van_takawa @ Aug 23 2011, 08:57 PM) Questions regarding breathing. Is it advisable to take a few breathe during a range of motion? Or it should be always a single breathe (inhale and exhale) in a one-rep motion? Always inhale during release and exhale during contraction? I'm used to the single breath per rep. Taking several breaths during a rep...only happens if I'm holding the weight up to recover for that last forced rep. |

Hold and push up, as you're pushing from the bottom to the mid point you're holding most of your breath. From the mid point to the top you exhale the rest of it.

There's this sweet taste in my mouth that keeps following me after the workouts. Cutting on lowered carbs, wondering if it's from ketosis.

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Aug 26 2011, 05:36 PM) Delusional? Hmm, that's a tough one to call bro. I haven't started threads on squatting 2x BW yet, so I'm still pretty lucid.Carb craving I thought was pretty normal on a cutting phase. Last night wanted to whack 3 packs of instant noodles but mentally suppressed. |

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Aug 26 2011, 05:56 PM) Whack 3 packs of kelp noodles instead lol... though i have no idea where to find them. My last low carb was a disaster lol, weight ballooned after that phase was over. Tomorrow! Refeed day is when I get to eat one of those photo-worthy meals haha. Not much yet in terms of weight loss, but the definition is coming. |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Aug 26 2011, 06:22 PM) So fast LOL!Sometimes when going out with friends I'm kinda reluctant to take pics of my food, they must be thinking I've joined the Food R Us club where members eat industrial amount of food. You guys need to start a food thread because every other day when I click this thread, I'm greeted by not-puasa-friendly pics haha. Tomorrow will be joining a pal for buka puasa, pics coming soon. |

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Aug 28 2011, 10:08 AM) Correct. You need to shake it and you'll produce a thick, creamy white liquid. Then swallowing becomes easier. Wait...... Oh great...I'm downing my Vanilla shake when I saw this. Added on August 28, 2011, 1:35 pm QUOTE(darkz88 @ Aug 28 2011, 01:30 PM) How much water do you use per scoop? 8 oz?Do you use a shaker? QUOTE(china_dude 02 @ Sep 2 2011, 05:54 PM) 1 egg has about 6 grams of protein.Assuming the average athlete takes 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight, you need 156 grams of protein a day. Good luck, and use Google first next time. kthxbye |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Sep 2 2011, 06:04 PM) Well, interesting turn of events today. Was out earlier today and drove past my gym and saw that the windows and sliding doors on the balcony were open. Went over just now, everything packed and ready in my bag, only to find the door was all locked up. Looks like it's gonna be another day training at home. xD Since you're all packed, any other gym that's open so you can just pay for walk in? |

I think the reading is off.
If you're around 6-7%, you should be shredded as hell. From the description my guess is the bf% level is around the low teens. |
