XXJVQ was rather surprisingly... lag, after I restored my few apps.

When I first used GB 2.3.3 (forgotten which code), it was dead smooth, even after installing some apps.

So I had to go EXT4 and I went with Speedmod Kernel (avoid at all cost, cause it doesn't include Voodoo Sound kernel, which was a gem)

Power consumption wise... it was just a bit better than CM7 which I used previously. I am not sure if it was due to my almost dead battery, which I have been constantly charging and discharging? Hence the shorter battery power.

Another thing to note about this XXJVQ 2.3.4. My Talk1.3 langsung can't make voice/video call anymore. Previously on 2.3.3, I can at least make voice call, and video call (with only voice, without video feed). Now... can't even call. Can answer, but disconnected after that.

You have to manually hack the battery and the power off screen animation, which was non-existence in Samsung's ori f/w.

Phone.apk was fine, so far no FC. Maybe I didn't make enough call. But all I know was, if you try to type the numbers too fast, the program will FC. lol.

i think my one is the july version one.

since i flash to xxjvp with speedmod till now, did not have freezees before.

this is the 1st time.

nvm i will test more see how 1st then only consoder change to other kernel.

guys, what is the latest clockworkmod version?
i try upgrade to latest CM7.
downloaded #58
clean using "ultimate_kernel_cleaning_script_v2_by_lippol94"
then flash cm7 #58
then flash Glitch #11HL

phone stuck at Glitch load screen. and my clockworkmod is in blue color, version v4.0.1.0

anyone know what's going on?

got my phone working again after clean script x2 times, then flash CM7 #58 again. Phew!

if you wanna go to cm7 just wipe data/cache/dalvik cache/system then flash latest nightly.
if you wanna go back to samsung base roms, use odin with 3files+ repartition+pit. done!

since u use both CM7 and MIUI, what do you find if comparing to each other? like MIUI the 720p recording still have issues, so do the video call and call recording, and other issues as well, do CM7 free from all of MIUI problems?

MIUI is base on cm7, so basically both are same. MIUI more on interface and cm7 more on performance. you will not get those fancy lockscreen/themes on cm7 but speed. if you want lagless rom go to cm7. but latest v5 really not bad. MIUI launcher that without alphabetical sort order is the only thing i really don't like . how am i going to search for my apps?

add-on: for you question ,

720p recording- no problem on cm7 but i cant compare the quality with samsung roms.
video call - do you mean normal 3G video call? if yes, then the answer is no. only for photoshop roms.
call recording- not sure i never use this function before(if not mistaken don't have this function in cm7). maybe other will confirm with you.

Another question, there is so many firmwares for asia, its like DDJV9, ZSJV6, ZWJV4, etc...are they the same??? Is it advisable to flash europe firmware???cause it is 2.3.4

Which kernel did u all using for MIUI? Glitch? NEO 11? Which 1 suit for u all?

Bcoz i tried both on MIUI, but both doesnt gave me a nice battery life. Can saw the battery percentage drop few % per hour without using it.

no. from what i understand, first two alphabet is the region of the firmware, for malaysia it is DX. the last 3 alphabet is the version of gingerbread. for example JVK, JVO,JV9.....

testing Neo 11. previous neo kernel was laggy so trying this first.
