simple questions here,got confused after reading all the post rclxub.gif
i've been using optimus one before and now using sgs.
1) step for rooting both phone is different?
2) can someone guide me how to root this phone. want to root it first because i want to use titanium backup before flashing a custom rom into it.
3) lastly, whats the different flashing using odin and flashing via recovery mode?

im on gingerbread(2.3.3).
i only can see step for flashing rom at front page.can give me link to root it first.
just want to backup all my apps using titanium backup before flashing it.

Once you have flashed the kernel. You will need to install superuser app from the market.

Both does the same thing. flashing by CWM is always the most preferable one as it is safer. Odin is more complicated and one can make mistake with it. There are few instances where odin is needed such as updating bootloader or flashing stock rom.

firstly CM7 - bored with it because been used it for my optimus one
then changed to MIUI - very nice interface
finally Deodexed XXJVP - currently satisfied with the performance

stock gallery will display all pictures in sdcard whether it is an images for games or installer mad.gif
so with this app i can hide all the rubbish images icon_rolleyes.gif

for those using miui..

1) how do you guys sort your application?
2) i've been using simi folder..separated all app between games,socials etc. but the main shortcut still remain at the desktop. how do i remove all that and just group it under folder?
