QUOTE(michaelnct @ Jul 27 2011, 03:27 PM) Hello guys! Alternatively, try downloading nitrality app from the market. From there, go to tools and then change CSC code. Need your help on Root Explorer and XME I flashed to GB 2.3.4 XXJVQ and rooted using Speedmod kernel I was trying to copy the XME folder to system/csc. But when I paste it, the XME doesn't appear in the csc folder. May I know what's wrong? I have 5 other countries' product code currently in my system/csc. Thank you. I personally haven't tried this method. but why don't you go ahead and try. It is a lot easier than copy pasting using root explorer |

QUOTE(Tuhin @ Jul 29 2011, 09:44 AM) Hi Yours is i9000t model right? I don't know whether there is an update for australia. If you would like to use kies, there is a registry hack that can trick the software so that you can update to any of the stock firmware. See first page.I am Using 2.2 when I bough it 4/5 months back from Australia it was pre loaded with 2.2. Now want to get 2.3.4 but Kies says that my current version is the latest version. Why is it? And what should I do to get 2.3.4, I want to try Odin but afraid if i brick it. Any Advice Thanks in Advance. But odin is a faster method |

QUOTE(Something Else @ Jul 29 2011, 05:04 PM) Flashed gingerbread bootloaders over my CM7 last night, after reading that many people get improved standby battery life using the GB bootloaders. Probably no irreversible harm. Do you switch using ezboot? And from what I've seen so far, that is very true. i still have 55% of battery left after 15 hours of use, in which 8 hours were idle standby (sleeping) and the rest were moderate usage ( few phhone calls, a few games, sms and light browsing). Will report back after a few days on how it goes. From what i can see so far, it improves the STANDBY battery drain but not the battery drain when IN USE. Apparently you lose access to your external sd card though, but i dont use one, so cant test. keep in mind that flashing GB bootloaders over CM7 IS AT YOUR OWN RISK |

QUOTE(metaboy @ Jul 30 2011, 11:21 PM) Hi Guys, I am totally a newbie in rooting and stuff. Recently i have updated my SGS to DXJV9 firmware and followed the fuguroot instruction from XDA for rooting. It works like a charm. But then there comes a question. Is there anyway to undo the root? So that maybe i the future i can still use kies to get firmware upgrade and warranty purposes? Thanks To unroot, flash stock rom for malaysia (DXJV9) using odin. You'll lose all of your apps so you have to backup first.Read first page. |

There are two version of insanity. One is cyanogenmod insanity and the abandoned xxjvb insanity. Cm7 insanity is fast and light (40mb plus only!) but inherits all of cm7 shortcomings.
Icejoker, you become the next thread TS eh? |

Added on August 3, 2011, 5:49 pmtrying to root htc IS and it really troublesome. I got terrible experience with rooting HTC tattoo. I don't need a gold card but the instruction was still confusing. I finally got around it after a few days, even though I didn't follow the instruction 100%. QUOTE(memento7 @ Aug 4 2011, 05:26 AM) if i make backup... will it backup my old kernel too? if you do titanium backup, it'll backup apps and its associated data. no kernel is backed upcoz i need to get rid of the kernel.. need the stock cm7 kernel.. once you flash a new nightly, kernel will be overwritten but apps will be retained. it is always a good idea to do a backup anyway. QUOTE(alvinz @ Aug 4 2011, 07:25 AM) same here, ditched it since version 5/6 i think due to his arrogant attitude and now anything he says or post i just ignore ... yay, another darky defector |

QUOTE(profdrahhen @ Aug 6 2011, 05:14 PM) besides using the in built folder widget, you can also use simi folder to manage your folder. there are a few more tweaks to it than the built in one. app is free from the market. QUOTE(gajahwhite @ Aug 6 2011, 07:30 PM) very interesting find. if rfs is indeed based on fat, then it'll get slow eventually over time. I'm anticipating btrfs to be stable and used in linux kernel but the progress hasn't been fast enough |
