QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 10 2012, 02:22 AM) Nutrition is under Science right? I only hear people doing Pharmacy or Computer Science. Yep, under Science. Anyway, I suppose you are not a first year student? =S Could you help me with a question? I didn't do Malaysian Studies or Moral during my Pre-U, but I do have my BM from SPM, so I guess that is exempted. But will I have to take Msian Studies and Moral?

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 10 2012, 02:32 AM) I am first year student. But i did my foundation here so I finished those subjects. Yes, you will have to take and pass those subjects. And in Nottingham, there's no easy way out when comes to those Compulsory Subjects. How long does it take? One semester? Feels like such a drag already. Thanks for helping out btw.

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 10 2012, 02:51 AM) One subject one semester. So two semesters. TBH, its better doing it in foundation instead of first year. But i'll take first year over 2nd year anyday. So study hard ah. Actually not that hard, just need enough effort and attention. No prob. Doing my part in the forum. Nooooo. But yes, you're right, first year over second year anytime!

QUOTE(jacktay94 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:05 AM) hey! subang is around 40 mins the fastest i drove to uni. if u driving everyday like this should be ok laa. i calculated somehow its lesser than rent. but just ur time nid earlier. if ur driving can i tumpang back sometimes?? 40mins? Sounds do-able. But this is prob without jam, right? Dunno if I can handle driving everyday back and forth =S Haha jacktay94, what course are you doing? Added on September 11, 2012, 12:10 amQUOTE(CempedakCOD4 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:01 AM) Personally wouldn't recommend it lah. I know some friends who commute everyday, so it's definitely possible, just very stressful. Classes start at 9am. But depends on your timetable..see you lucky or not. =P If not lucky, The stressful bit I prob agree with you lol. But 9am doesn't sound TOO bad.. what time is the latest class btw? QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:15 AM) My friend used to drive from Cheras. He found it quite difficult. After few months, he moved to TTS and never regretted it. Especially during assignment time. He also said staying near campus much more fun. Can be more involved with clubs stuff. Yeah I'd like the convenience of being near everyone else as well. Just not too sure if it's safe to live in TTS without a car..

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:22 AM) What do you mean by is it safe without a car? Walking around the area, especially when it's dark? If i were to stay in TTS all the time. What do you say? Shuttle buses are quite dependable, right? Added on September 11, 2012, 12:29 amQUOTE(CempedakCOD4 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:22 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
9am doesn't sound too bad, especially compared to sec school and A-Levels, 7.30am and 8am respectively. But once you adjust, IT'S JUST AS DIFFICULT TO WAKE UP. *truestory* Latest class end at 6pm usually, although I think sometimes when the exam paper sync with UK side, the exam can end later than that. Once again, see luck luh. OMG true true. Am totally not a morning person either so even 11am sounds slightly nasty. Haha. This post has been edited by sliceofcheese: Sep 11 2012, 12:29 AM

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 11 2012, 12:31 AM) Yah they are dependable. You'll just have to time it according to the timetable. Walking around TTS not recommend at night unless you're waiting for the bus. Just ask some one teman you better. Ask jacktay to teman also can Added on September 11, 2012, 12:33 amHaha, i overslept for 11am classes few times edi. Aiyooo I feel so sesat now Will go and have a look at the place soon and figure out whether I should drive back and forth or park myself in TTS.

Me September! haha xD. Judging from your username, we are the same age, lol. Drove there today. I saw at least two bicycle shops maybe about 5-10mins cycling distance from campus. In the town-ish area. Don't know whether they're reputable or not though.

QUOTE(jacktay94 @ Sep 11 2012, 10:13 PM) hmmm. school i not too sure. if need maybe we can meet up in subang and get it there or smth? no matter how we need a car! SLICEOFCHEESE!! can tumpang?? xDDD Hahaha, I don't actually have a car. Went there today to look at houses in TTS5. Not too bad.. I'm leaning towards staying in TTS as opposed to driving. Took about 40mins or so today with smooth traffic. Might be a little crazy though if I had to trawl through traffic snarls.

QUOTE(HwangTommy @ Sep 11 2012, 11:28 PM) Hey! I'm from Batam, Indonesia. Ferry dock in Stulang Laut, hehe. I'm sure u know Batam xD. It's very near to Singapore and JB. BTW, ur username, the "cempedak" part, in Indonesian language it is the name of a fruit xD. Malaysians love their cempedaks too. And nangka, and durian, and manggis.. and the list goes on. =P Oh btw I think that day there was a slight confusion. Klang is a port in Malaysia as well as a place in Indonesia?

QUOTE(HwangTommy @ Sep 11 2012, 11:34 PM) Oh my God, we also have those fruits!! xD. about Klang, no there is no place in Indonesia named Klang AFAIK. I know Klang in Malaysia, with ferries connecting to Dumai (it's in Sumatra province, quite far from my place) Hahah, yes. The two countries actually share quite a few similarities. You'll enjoy it here, I bet. =D Added on September 11, 2012, 11:41 pmURGENT: LOOKING FOR FEMALE ROOM-MATE Anyone wanna be my room-mate in TTS5? Anyone from Faculty of Science?
I got an email saying that registration was on the 20th instead of the 19th. But the induction thingy is on the same day as well?
Super confused.
How long do both events take anyway?

QUOTE(Zeuss1220 @ Sep 12 2012, 09:34 PM) The induction should be 20th i think. Because they told Science foundation students to attend the induction on the 20th. Yours should be the same iinm. So having registration and induction on the same day is possible? Thanks!
