There are alot of foundie students lol, so not quite deserted.

6 papers in a week. with no break in between 2 semesters. I'm going to go insane D:!

I hope I can maintain my previous semester results......I'm lemming for the Tinggi Scholarship....no word on when its going to open and its prerequisites.

Apparently our intake has a choice of transferring to economics when our sophomore year starts!!!

Been there during Summer break, the campus gets pretty silent during the night. And for one night there was this LAN party going on, only 5 person attended, 3 of them being the organizer LOL. tongue.gif

If they come in like any other 711, then we could see that coming true. LOL, you seem to have the need of it? (seriously no offense, just kidding!)
I will really wish they have the hot water thing, make making cup noodles a lot easier!

Should bring in the corner with tons of food heated over the oven as well.

Hey guys,

I know its very late, can anyone tell me when is the application deadline?
the website says 28 august but i just want to double confirm  icon_question.gif

and also whether is the reception/office open tomorrow (saturday)?
i already send my scanned application forms and supporting documents via email but i'm not sure whether they received it or will they respond in time. So, i'm planning to go nottingham tomorrow to submit again by hand.

i'm not trying to ask for spoon feeding. i tried to called them twice but no one answer  icon_question.gif

Hi. I'm going to the University of Nottingham in Semenyih this September and looking for a master bedroom/room with attached bathroom to rent close to the university or in Kajang or Semenyih towns. Preferably airconditioned, furnished with study table, etc and with Internet connection. I'm an open-minded Muslim, mature (over 21), neat, quiet and responsible - not the partying kind. I don't drive so being close to transport lines is important. Flexible budget. Eid Mubarak to all those who celebrate.  Thanks.

Hey Dracy did you check out the forth post in the first page of the thread? I've listed quite a number of deals there.

QUOTE(Katrina91 @ Aug 31 2011, 03:01 AM)
I was just trying my luck to drop by at the accommodation office on the info day as I said earlier, I didn't know how exactly the management works. Of course I was happy when I got what I wanted when I asked if they still have any single room left. After he rang up the office to check with one malay lady, and it happened that they said they can offer me my choice *they're not saying that you must be able to pay right away only we're able to offer you*

So he ask me to wait for a while to check on availability of the room that I requested. After a few minutes on the phone, he said they will allocate me to single room with ensuite bathroom and ask if I want to take it. After confirm that I'd like to accept the offer, he straight guided me to the finance office to make the payment.

It's not like I have robbed sth else from sb. Because when I was there, I asked if there're still a lot of single room left, the guy said actually they still have quite some number left but it's highly demanded. So I was baffled too why didn't they offer my friend her first choice as she has submitted her application months ago. So I straight rang up my friend, ask her to check with the office.

Main intention here is just to share my experience to other students, so that they can try their best to drop by the uni if possible, to seek solution with the people in charged over there.

I think this is how they work, take INTI as an example. Back then I know this Assistant Manager of Admission Office who happened to be managing stuffs for Accommodation as well. He told me that the Accommodation Office will always allocate a percentage of the empty rooms to release to those students who come to education fairs/open days (provided that the student confirm on the spot that they are interested to study there and have provided all the necessary documents for the paperwork and all that la).

Coz they don't want to say "Sorry we don't have any [type of rooms] left" to all the parents and students who come to their booth during fair or open day. So it ends up those who went for the open day/fair are slotted into the empty rooms from the percentage they have allocated, whereas those who submitted their application the "normal" way like the most of us will have to compete among ourselves and being placed in the infamous waiting list.

Then, once all the open days and fairs are over, then only they release the unoccupied rooms back to those still in the waiting list. He said again tho, let's say you want Type A room as your first choice, then never put it as the first, put it in second or third. And put your second choice as your first. Chances are you won't be thrown into the category where you get a room that you don't want at all. <-- Take no absolute credit for this I don't want the trick to backfire on you.

Like that looks better, although your textbook thing might be overlooked now.
Maybe add some words to indicate it's about the Malaysia campus? (Okay okay, I ask too much, but I am thinking whether people will misunderstand it's about the accommodation in the city of Nottingham instead.

Hahaha done right away. Don't care much about the textbook thing dy. Previous batch only 4 student I dunno whether it's even possible to find them out.
