Same here cry.gif

My agent and I kept on emailing/calling the University and every time we get the same reply "We'll get back to you in two days."  doh.gif
I'm calling them again tomorrow  yawn.gif
*
haha typical.
They told me they would get back to me next week on Friday so I called them on Monday and I think I angered the lady on the line tongue.gif
I'm going to call again by end of week probably.

Hard luck ph34r.gif

I had a meeting with my agent yesterday, alongside other freshers. We'll be travelling in a group  rclxm9.gif
Anyhoo, the accommodation lady said the same thing to us, except our agent is pushing her to inform us before the University closes for Hari Raya holidays.

Apparently, and I quote, "the staff member that was supposed to process your accommodation application has resigned, and your application got handed to another staff member, and therefore delayed."  doh.gif

explains why it took so long.. yawn.gif
*
lol that's so absurd but good if you do get your offer before the raya holidays.

mine has been apparently "processed" but i won't get my offer until right before the uni starts which doesn't make any sense no matter how many times I tried questioning them. OH WELL I'll just go with it, don't have a choice. I'll be fine as long as I get a single room. Have to deal with the sharing bathroom issue I guess unsure.gif

Hello guys, my semester commences on September, looking forward to meet you guys next time. biggrin.gif

However, there is something I must ask here. Any of you are already year 2 or year 3? I wanna ask when did you start applying for accommodation during your year 1. I got my offer on 19th Aug, a Friday and immediately submitted my accommodation form on the next working day - 22th Aug. Today, they sent me an email, stating that they have allocated a Four Shared bathroom for me. I don't want it at all. sleep.gif

Any how I can appeal for it? I wished for any single room. ANY will do.  sad.gif
*
I'm not sure but I asked them about it in case I don't get the room I want and she said you can't do anything about it... You take it or decline.

You got your accommodation so fast and I applied for it much earlier.

Seriously? The management is seriously, bloody hell.  mad.gif What kind of room you wish to get?
*
single ensuite bathroom. i don't mind if I don't get it. At this point, I just want my own private room with shared bathroom or whatever haha.

That's good news.  When did you submit your application?

Guys, any feedback on TTS5?  Are the ground floor rooms OK?  My friend was offered a Type A room for RM620 a month.

thanks.

When will you be arriving in Malaysia?  I'll be on campus on the 15th, exactly one week from now.
*
I'm already living here for now. Not sure when I'll check in. Perhaps around 15th to 19th. (Before the registration)

where you from?

If you check YES 4G online coverage map, we are indeed covered. Whether it's strong, you should pray there's people here who subscribe to that service. Is there a trial period for you?
*
yeah I checked but I'm scared it will be weak signal.

if I get it, it will be the one month trial to test it out first.

I'm using it right now.

Full bar all around campus, sometimes 4/5 in the accommodation block near SA. Not sure about those further at the back. Coz I don't walk around with my laptop and the dongle heh. tongue.gif
*
thank you. I guess I'll buy it soon.

Added on September 15, 2011, 1:27 pmI just checked this out about Freshies Week.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=169...7&type=1&ref=nf

About the clubbing night for freshies. It's at MOS on a Wednesday biggrin.gif
Does the SA do the transportation for us or do we have to do it by taxi back and forth. If so, does the campus allow students to come back as late as 4am and such? (because some live on-campus)

I'm going to do foundation. The tuition fee that I have to pay at registration is RM 15,000 right? anything else I need to pay for?

Also does anyone know how many classes/hours a business foundation student has per day/week? etc.

I think you can just pay like 1/2 of the 1st semester fee, only that they will still urge you to pay by notifying you via emails (read annoying spam).
And yes, you do not need to pay anything else, not like other institutions with hidden fee. If you are doing a science-based course, you may need to purchase lab coat and goggle for your lab session though.

I think it's about 20 hours per week, inclusive of tutorials.
*
Oh okay thank you.

20 hours per week should okay with me especially after I handled high school which was like 8 hours a day tongue.gif
