ACCA from different countries provides different exemptions for the same qualification? I don't think so.....

You can always go to SG for tuition as well. I don't hear much about Sunway JB being good (Sunway Kuching is not bad though). You can check out SAA or Kaplan. Both are platinum providers IINM.

it's been confirmed by ACCA SG when my friend attended the ACCA talk. even my seniors taking the exam say so. F4 and F6 and it could be more after assessment. sad.gif

F4 and 6 I understand since SG has different corporate and tax laws. Maybe even audit as well since they have their own SSA but it is mostly copy paste from ISA.

Do i need to be their student to sit for exams?
I am self studying at d moment.

juz join the other group be4 2nd weeks, especially Menon class as she teaches slightly different speed & topic in each class. Parttime classes will have more f7 topic, but is vr fast and long lecturing hour, damn tired~ atttend the class you want and handwrite your name the namelist, you will be located at that group d~ignore the student handbook XP

But if you r good student, you may apply through TES office, an application form may given. you need to summit and wait for their call & approval from Mr Teo

My P papers all weekend classes. One block per month per paper. If 3 papers, that means 3 weekends gone in a month, next month lecturers come again. Loads of lectures thrown at us every blocks. Can't help it coz my lecturers from Sunway KL laugh.gif

It's tiring bcoz of the schedule below sweat.gif
Friday 1800-2200
Saturday 1400-2200
Sunday 0800-1800

I would say who cares about combination this kind of thing?

if u noe well u will do well

just take p1 and p2 together

it will be okay

moreover you're just enter into P level

just take the easier one (p1) with p2

p3 need alot of critical thinking and writing skills

which you should probably develop from P1 and P2
here's why: P1 syllabus half of them can be said just memorising and another half is understanding (starting from risk - ethics)
                  P2 have 35% calculation and 65% writing
P3 have at least 90% writing marks, if not near 100%, are you prepared to do this on ur 1st attempt on P papers?

and I'm sure if u plan to take P5 next time, P3 will be best to take with P5 cause they are inter-related

p/s: dun too obsessed with easier to pass if do this and that decision, you should go step by step
resource (knowledge) based vs position (outsiders' evaluation based
resource based is always better cause u depend on urself and no excuse to blame others if you followed their wrong advises
       on ur situation

p2 + p3 might be just a value trap combination

Added on January 5, 2012, 5:43 pmand 1 more thing, P1 will provide you the foundation u need on ethics

or risks which will be asked in p2 p3 and subsequent papers

if u missed P1, the marks will be gone or reduced greatly due to wrong concept

I agree to this. I took 3 papers accordingly since F papers. It's better that way. Some may think to skip the previous then take the later ones. But this is always up to the individual laugh.gif

Taylor's and Sunway's are almost twice as expensive as other tuition centres at KL. You not only need to pay the registration fee (not sure about this), but also the resource fee plus the tuition fee. Extremely expensive if you only go for 1 particular paper. Sunway's P paper alone is close to 1.5k, resource fee around 300 IINM.
