Nope it can't. You only can AF if your lens has it's own AF motor like SAM or SSM.

Actually you could get a telephoto lens for the sane effect as well. Not necessary must go close.

You think their pancakes are flawless...? They have heavy distortions which are heavily fixed via software in camera..

The results don't lie...if NEX is not popular...Sony would not have bothered to release a NEX 7...

And MANY have pre-ordered the NEX 7 without even looking at a proper preview....previous owners have also splashed cash on M mount lenses which are certainly not cheap... i can't understand your definition of a 'casual camera' though...so what makes a camera 'serious'...?

Well at least Sony has an APSC sensor..

i believe the 10-100mm is the same size as the 18-200mm sony lens.

I am comparing 10-100 with 18-200. both are equally huge and weigh almost the same, and also cost about the same price.But after converting to 35mm, Sony is still better with the added range. That's my point. biggrin.gif

should be less than half of what an original can do.. but some people will argue that the price of buying 1 ori battery is equivalent to buying 4-5 3rd party batteries..so your call la... biggrin.gif
