dun understand y the nex 5 needs a seperate button for on n off, y kenot share with the shutter release button?

The On / Off is rotation switch probably, with shutter on top. The small button (7), they have no idea what it is.

When I was in a country with below 10 degrees temperature and having thick gloves on, was thankful that the NEX-5 power switch can be flicked on. However, I had issues trying to press the 2 other flat softkey buttons . @nlik, if the design of the on off button like those one the C3 n nex 3, u will have problems switching it on during cold?
