Is there a proper method to increase my chest strength?

I work out with my friends who could do bench presses much heavier than i do.

I push myself to lift their weights every time we work out together but after few weeks i'm still struggling with a lot of support from them.

Should i maintain to the weight i could manage or would lifting heavier weight help?

I'm taking ON whey currently but my diet is screwed blink.gif

wats wrong with the bb thread? y need to open new thread?
strength is not built overnight.
u can't go from 10kg to 50kg weights in a few months, not impossible but really a big ask.
if i remember correctly one of Dorian Yate's vids, he says if you increase ur weight by 5-10lbs every month, tats already very good. this is equivalent to 60-120lbs of weight increase in a yr! so dun aim for unrealistic numbers. go according to your limit.

maybe u should stick to ur normal weight for 1st 2 sets, for the final set try to increase to heavier weight then try as many reps as u can. anyway, u know ur limit, stop whenever u cant lift anymore

i can lift it with support, i'm doing it for 4 sets.......or lifting without support would be better?

By support you mean your friends are deadlifting while you are pressing? If you need support beyond the last two reps to failure then u r lifting too heavy.

whatever the case is, dont let your spotter support you from the first rep, cause thats just plain stupid, the spotter will pretty much be doing a mini-workout. if thats the case, then your overly estimating your strength. let him/her spot you the last 2 reps, even then, a good spotter will be able to put just the right amount of pressure to help you complete your rep, he is not supposed to do a mini-lift.
