There is really not a need to do so. It doesn't change much. (Unless your signal, you feel its unsatisfactory)

You can't change unless you are rooted.

many custom ROMs with 2.3.4 or even 2.3.5 are already rooted... i guess there is a rooting solution somewhere for sure?
*
you can't because the official update will change the Hboot ver too, thus the existing root method won't work. nod.gif

Just wanna find another easy way ><" I mayb have some computer skill but not Android phones ><" Just got it 1 month~~

Desire's upgrade method is different smile.gif you need to download the tools yourself, no other way.

QUOTE(hakumiyashi @ Aug 6 2011, 02:36 AM)
To all that interested to upgrade to "official developer's" 2.3.3 GB..

Please take note that you may not be able to root after you install this ROM for now!

The HBOOT loaded is 1.02, which I tried with Unrevoked 3.32 to root and failed.

So unless you really would like to upgrade to 2.3.3 for at least awhile (not just for testing) then you may consider proceed to install this ROM.

If anyone could find the soloution to root it then please do share it here ASAP.

already tried to warned them earlier. tongue.gif

Try XDA forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=628

There's vid tutorial there.

There are stock GB modified ROMs with ROOT over XDA. anyone tried any of them? (alex, supernova etc)

about file transfer issue are related with kernel used I believe.
the solution is htc official GB kernel. but not sure is the developer already succeed extract out from it?
the temp workaround that I always did if there is huge file transfer, the best is do it in recovery.

Does anybody knows what's the best performance the MicroSD Card can achieve on the Desire?

Is there any hardware limitation? e.g. fastest is only 15MB/s.

On my Desire running on Reflex S 2.1.7, SD Tools benchmarked my 2GB MicroSD Card that came with the phone reach 6.4MB/s-Write; 12.2MB/s-Read. After I've increased the throughput readahead to 3072kb.
