actually i can get the HD version for both at 115 (each) from a forumer. so i thinking TITANS shld b OKAY with HD since its dark, and the effect of sanding n nubs not so bad (effect of the gloss). for AEUG...i just cannot stand the HD color version. the normal 1 seems so so so much nicer.

so maybe i will get the AEUG since Titans is lower priority....don reli like all dark n blue. tongue.gif
true also. smile.gif if i go there tomorrow, will compare the price and get the more affordable one.

*
The downside of getting the Titans is due to its dark armour, most of the warning signs which are clear stickers rather than dry transfers will be hardly seen once applied. Even the yellow dry transfer Titans logo will lose most of its vibrancy due to the overwhelming deep blue.

QUOTE(mf_yamato @ Jul 17 2011, 12:45 AM)
rx-78-2 the inner frame only great...but the armor..aihhh plain like HG ooooo
*
RX78 ver2.0 is the most awesome RX78 version ever. Build one and you will understand it.
The OYW, apart from a more contemporary design, doesn't even come close.

My only complaints about it are the tiny backpack thrusters and the weird white pieces within the knee joint which makes it look splitting into half.

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Jul 17 2011, 01:00 AM)
that pic reminds me of rocket boy.... or ...whatever his name is called.

eh eh, so zaku II v2.0 really good?  better than AEUG 2.0?

what bout deathsycthe hell ew?
*
Hard to compare since they are different designs, but generally speaking the Zaku has things that the MKII can only dream about, i.e. full squating pose, more intricate internal frame design, much better articulated fingers. Nevertheless, the Zaku's waist has less rotation and the shoulders can't abduct although these don't affect its articulation too much.

The MKII has the tendency to lose friction in its joints while the Zaku doesn't (although the latter is still not as solid as the RX78 ver2.0). My MKII's upper limbs have gone all floppy.

As for Deathscythe Hell... Many of its flaws have been mentioned (by Parody I think), which include poor proportions, crap hands, and fragile wing joints.

Due to rapid movements of the arm consistently? I wonder what was he doing...? hmm.gif

Sorry if you're offended, but see it from a different perspective: you've asked a feng shui master for opinion, and you decided to consult another feng shui master for the same matter. How'd the first master feel?

Not that i'm hinting i'm a master of anything. laugh.gif

Or do i need to point out the fact that you asked the same question twice? Wouldn't that be annoying you'd say? You see, some people here keep posting the same pictures again and again and i find that annoying. People here tend to ignore questions. Why? Some on purpose, some because they missed it, some because they don't know the answer to. So if you don't get answers here, might as well get it elsewhere. Do some online search for the review if you're really interested. Not many here own that kit (in fact i think i might be the only one). sweat.gif

The sole purpose i'm in this thread is to answer those questions that got ignored (and also to share some predictions on upcoming kits and to read Starghazzer's and a few other members' constructive posts). Why? Because i was one of those people who got ignored on numerous occasions previously. I thought i'd help, but this thread is starting to get on my nerves... i'm starting to wonder if it's worth my time.

i dunno man, parody's review were quite detailed.. u were asking 'what bout deathsycthe hell ew?' when we see such posts we'd assume u asking for something like review. in fact, review > opinion becos we'd review it as per the designs and plastics, not just solely on how we feel.

if u just wan opinions, it'd sound more or less along the lines of 'It's great, i love it!' or 'Nah it sucks' or 'Was ok. size a lil small though'

or maybe a lil quick reply hit to thank reviewer's effort is nice though smile.gif i really appreciate reviews from parody and SG, makes it worthwhile to keep the thread running..

Well, i'm kinda glad it didn't.  sweat.gif

Since we are going to start a new thread soon, can we please please not have another spam fest.

It is getting annoying that one has to load page after page of useless pointless spam to just get to a single morsel of useful info.

Many of us have been guilty of doing this before, especially when we were new and eager, but is there really any need to post pictures of your RG, MG, HGUC blah blah blah hauls and an accompanying essay on your exciting BTS hunt. If it isn't rare and can be found in any other Jusco, NOBODY cares. Go lansi in hobbytiam, this is not gundamtiam!!! doh.gif

There is also no need to post 1001 photos of your snap fitted or semi snap fitted plastic, especially if you just wanna 'show off'. Picture + review = helpful. Picture + nothing else = snap fit = basic step of gunpla building = poor attempt at showing off.

Nasty I am, but the way this thread is going really annoys the hell out of me. Used to lurk in here to pick up bits and pieces of info, nowadays it just eats up my mobile bandwidth.

Back to topic - Anime accurate? Meh. Anyone with DW Gundam 3 will notice straight away that the mecha in there are modelled after the gunpla kits (dead giveaway - 'hollow' shoulders and skirts laugh.gif) instead of the anime, and they look good enough.

Personally, I myself are also guilty of spamming, and I am sorry for that. I would prefer to see news and reviews more in this thread. So if my actions annoyed you guys, I appologize for my shortcomings unsure.gif

One question though, is asking question is acceptable?

i will put some gunpla review from fellow here(Parody, StarGhazzer and Tiger I) at the first page..
other feel free pm me to put at first page...

about polls, i do have a polldaddy account so might as well put in front of first page based on demand nod.gif
and i will put some rule also, since most people make this thread less useful doh.gif
(i rather have this way rather than a spam-chattiing thread)

some of you might be dont agree this but lets make our thread a bit different than other threads at this section notworthy.gif

Guys, why get all worked up over a forum? It is freedom of speech and as long as the post does not violate the forum TOS, anyone can post anything!

If you do not like a post, just ignore it... you might not want to see some of the information posted but one does not speaks for the others; someone might still appreciate the information.

Sorry that I am spamming now... tongue.gif

Like I said, it is freedom of speech so no one could tell other people to shut up so we shouldn't even try doing that as it would start a frame war. All we have to do is to ignore the annoying post, and slowly the annoyance would go away (hopefully).

LYN would be like this since there is no specific control/moderation for each thread of different interests, so I would suggest hardcore gunpla fans/builders/collectors/admirers to visit Zero-G forum for the "good" information wink.gif

Getting angry will kill your brain cells, and it is not worth to die early because of some annoying forum post wink.gif

: peace :

I used to get annoyed with spam posts too, but looking from another perspective, at least this hobby is gaining more popularity instead of us few old farts talking about the same thing over and over again.

As long as more people get poisoned become interested in gunpla, I can close one eye to the spamming; although hopefully it doesn't become another /k/ thread.

Objection.

The SD thread attracts different types of fans. There are people who have no interest in normal gunpla, and vice versa. And the SD line is vast and different enough from typical gunpla to warrant its own discussion.

I personally wouldn't mind the occasional non-gundam kit discussions such as Fafner, Armoured Core, Votoms, Code Geass etc since they often do not have enough popularity to sustain its own thread. And sometimes they really do have awesome, realistic designs that deserve some limelight.

If you think the thread/forum isn't moderated, then you are sadly mistaken.

I liked the previous versions of this thread precisely for the reason that it wasn't Zero-G. Wasn't as specialised nor 'high end' where people shared info on gundams they garnered from other sources and also as a place to spread the word on local deals and bargains. Some of the more committed posters will even add in their kit reviews from time to time.

Now it is a place where people show off their hauls, their kits, blog about their shopping trips and spam whatever is remotely gunpla related, seemingly in hope of reaching 2500 posts sad.gif

SPAM SUCKS UP BANDWIDTH, which is terrible for Maxis mobile users like me mad.gif

edit: If you guys want a gunpla version of /k/, feel free to use the hobbytiam thread. It was started precisely to let us show off, talk crap and basically spam. And a place to have general discussions on all toys A mini /k/. That way, we can keep this thread relatively spam free and allows everyone to find the useful posts without going thru page after page of 'less useful' posts.
