in terms of snap-fitting: MG > HG > SD
in terms of detailing: HG > SD > MG

what's the difference btw MG and normal 1/100? :| more details?

MG got inner frame + pilot
NG 1/100 just like scale up size of HG 1/144.

the "1/100" are just the scale size.. what separates a gunpla kit from another are the grades.. better grade means better details, better colour separations, better articulations/gimmicks, more parts (and not to forget more price)

Structural solidity - all are the same.
Painting - SD
Assembly - MG
