Well if it was me i would rather pick the otaku instead of the ninjas, since ur already sittin straight up, u cant even see the word at the "front" already, or might as well just buy the blank key caps and change the majestouch 2 to blank.

I can't believe it at all. The cheapest M/K is around Rm500++? Why is this kind of keyboard so expensive?
*
You're paying every single cents well worth for a mechanical keyboard, instead of the pricey "gaming" keyboard which uses membranes that's super super low cost, you pay RM300+ for the bling bling "gaming" keyboard, they earn like 90% profits from it.

While you pay RM300+ for a mechanical keyboard, they earn like 20-30% from it.

So you get the mathematics?

Well before you jump into conclusion that mechanical keyboard is overpriced, read first post before going deep into it.

And to reply to your "cheapest mech keyboard availability", look for Cyclone, he has Leopold which is one of the best quality available for mechanical keyboard, its around RM350-ish, or you may just check out his sales thread.

P/S: All the bolded words are the important words that you need to know when you're choosing a mechanical keyboard.

If you are comparing cost against retail, the figure are far more than you imagine...

Mechanical keyboard, they earn 50% or more.
Rubberdome keyboard, they earn up to 1000%. 900% probably goes to the CEO

Dont ask me how I know =X
*
Well those kind of stuff, don't really have to say out, as the chinese says "self know ok already"

Well, I tend to be the type of consumer that research and buy things that are actually worth their price.
For example, RM599 for a rubber dome G19 or RM259 for G510 are they really worth that much when a Microsoft X4 out performs them at RM150.
*
Oh i was talking about the "who earn how many % blablabla" part, i also shares the same type of consumer as you.

Well, I admit that I don't do enough survey, ...No, it is more like that I completely clueless about M/Keyboard. Basically I just need to increase my budget if I want to get a decent one huh? Also, I can't read chinese.

Since I am not from KL, I guess that getting a mechanical keyboard is almost impossible. You know what, it seems that all the local computer shops never heard of mechanical keyboard before. When I asked the boss of that computer shop "do you sell mechanical keyboard?". His reply is "What's that?"  sad.gif
*
You don't have to ask those local computer shop, they know shits about high end stuffs.

Where are you from? If you happen to live at tai ping, or near taiping, you can go look for Cyclone. smile.gif

Too bad that I am not from Taiping. I from Lumut.

I think I going to seek help from my friends who are working in KL. So, can anyone give me the list of the computer shops that selling mechanical keyboards at Lowyat? I will ask them to survey the price and models, and then buy it for me.

lol when i first open the box, already 2 key caps falling off
then i put it back...
is it mech kb key caps are easy falling off?
*
Keycaps are easily removable by using keycaps puller, since blackwidow stealth only available online, it might have faced some throwing here and there by the couriers, but this is the first time we hear about keycaps fall off when user just opened it for the first time.

Although i still yet to own a mechanical keyboard, but i would prefer a fullsize 104 keys US ASCII layout with the long backspace, long enter and long right shift.
Not using the tenkey portion much other than key-in passwords and numbers, but will feel somewhat awkward if my keyboard doesnt have it  sweat.gif

Btw bro, how's your keycap hunt going? Get your desired keycaps already? hmm.gif

Yes, it's ABS.
Only KBC makes PBT.

I don't understand why people keep saying PBT is better when ABS are used to make Lego.
Even my childhood Lego have no problems lasting so long.

No la, wasn't saying PBT > ABS, just wanna try the matte surface of PBT (or its not matte?) @@
