QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Aug 25 2011, 12:24 PM) @Squarebox I think most of the camera available in the market able to do it, minus the pns camera, at least micro 4/3 above.Wondering what camera u used to capture those shots.. Amazingly Bokeh xD I like how the leopald looks, no joke and minimalist, not like those keyboard with waste edge space Even my iPhone 4 able to do bokeh shots, just not so creamier as Squarebox's shots. Will get a filco and good quality blue switch for my next keyboard My mother have problem using my keyboard as well, i think I might wanna get another keycaps for her.. The black on black or white on white looks good but kinda troublesome for people who cant memorise the keyboard layout.. That day saw my mom use a torchlight while typing on my keyboard... |

QUOTE(ooiwbng @ Aug 2 2011, 11:39 PM) Guys, I've received my keyboard..XARMOR U9BL-S GreenSamurai, i see you first time posting here, so please do search before posting anything.Initial views Firstly, the packaging has a very premium feeling. You get a black box with paper latches which is covered by a slide out info sheet. You get all the info about the keyboard outside. Even though this keyboard is priced significantly higher than the Razer BWU, the inside packaging is not as good but not to be underestimated as everything is packed tightly to ensure safety of the keyboard and its accessories. Removing everything was fairly easy until you lift the keyboard. It's not easy lifting this keyboard with one hand as it is heavy. What comes with the keyboard? You get a nice rubber coated arm wrest which I personally can't enjoy due the limited real estate on my desk. More on the arm wrest later. You also get a plastic keycap puller and 4 non-lettered orange key caps to replace the 'essential' WASD or directional caps. Coming prefixed to the PS/2 cable, is the PS/2 to USB adapter which you can remove to enjoyed N-RKO to its fullest. Less crap, More keyboard When I first laid hands on the keyboard, the smoothness of the rubber coating caught my attention. It enhances grip as advertised -by me- as well as preventing stains. The keyboard comes with MBTF 50 million actuations. Along with 4 brightness levels, you can choose from dim to bright 'bright'. Initially, I bottomed out on every key press but now I'm slowly beginning to enjoy the mechanical side of the keyboard. Brown Cherry MX for this variant. There's no click but if you bottom out, a loud 'thuck' awaits you. Not annoying though...Hitting hard on rubber-domes do Regarding the arm wrest, it's a pure waste that I don't get to enjoy it. In fact, my wrists suffer without it due the the height of the keyboard. Installing the arm wrest is easy but removing it is hard as you can't press both sides at the same time to easy the process. My advice is to not install the arm wrest unless you really want(need) it. The angle is sufficient with legs extended. Back-lighting is good but for the media keys which lie from F1 to F6 are dimly lit as the LED is position on top of the switch and the media engravings are below the F keys. One thing about the spacebar. No squeaks as reported by some users and the back-lighting for the keyboard is actually cool as the led is in the middle which the engraving is a long line so the brightness goes down evenly in both sides. Pictures » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Feel free to ask me any question. Will upload pics of back-light if requested P/S. TS, please add my nick to the front page for XARMOR U9BL-S |

What does linear switch means? Removable cable?
It seems Razer going to get all the switches. hmm. Incoming more "blue vs brown" bombardments. This post has been edited by kEazYc: Aug 31 2011, 10:51 AM |

QUOTE(rave963 @ Aug 31 2011, 02:50 PM) hey all .. any recommendation on mechanical keyboard ?? I want something that is silent when typing =D .. The quality also must be good and lasting XD .. Thanks a lot =D What's your requirement other than just silent while typing? Steelseries 6gv2 that zandara suggested are using black switches, which require forces to type, you gotta ask yourself about that. And also, read the first post before posting, everything that you going to ask should appears on first post. |

QUOTE(Squarebox @ Aug 31 2011, 12:19 PM) Yup. Titanium keys can also be found on Taobao. Linear switches means the switch goes smoothly up and down without the feel of any bump. Removable cable means the cable can be removed to prevent damage from transporting the keyboard or storing the keyboard. The cable is connected to the keyboard via mini-USB. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(dragorc @ Aug 31 2011, 04:15 PM) try google the cherry mx red and mx black switch, this switch hav no bump aka linear switch. for good & quality can try filco majestouch or leopold Added on August 31, 2011, 4:16 pmbtw guys, is tat any gud to have detachable cable on the keyboard? ![]() |

Gamer or not it doesn't matter, there's no such things as an item is built for certain purpose, just like killing a person, i don't have to use a gun, i don't have to use a knife, i use keyboard also can kill person, get the meaning?
"Gaming" this word is purely gimmick, only people who don't think will be fallen into the traps. This post has been edited by kEazYc: Aug 31 2011, 05:41 PM |

QUOTE(lucidlts @ Sep 1 2011, 01:25 PM) N-key rollover (NKRO) is only possible with a direct connection to a native PS/2 port on the computer which also has other limitations that USB overcomes. The Razer BlackWidow keyboards' anti-ghosting capabilities serve a similar purpose while using the more modern and readily available USB port. |

I currently facing the squeezy sounds on my backspace key, but it doesn't matter much tho. :S
QUOTE(Squarebox @ Sep 2 2011, 01:12 PM) Yes, Filco indeed do have some cases too but most are not due to QC. btw, mind to elaborate what's "ping of death" ?The Filco failures are mostly due to user error(spillage) and recently "Ping of Death" Note that Filco have been around of a long time and don't have as many failure as Ducky who is new. QUOTE(Squarebox @ Sep 2 2011, 01:33 PM) It matter alot especially when you are paying so much for a keyboard. Thanks for the solution for the squeaky sound. Some grease should solve your squeaky sound. ![]() This is the "Ping of Death" which can happen to all mechanical keyboards. Some people hear it, most people don't. I have a Filco that have a key that pings but I can only hear the pinging if I put my ear 5cm away and typing on it unnaturally. There's a "War On Ping" or "Ping Of War" going on at geekhack. Source: Link As for the pinging, i heard it, but what matter is, does it has any downside? |
