lol.. a mold for plastic injection keycaps would cost like hmm.. 6 figures at least.. since there's many different shape for it. I thought of it before too actually haha

Well for CNC it's cheaper than keycaps as when you buy a mold you need to mass prod it else you cant get your return on investment. CNC milling is rather slow actually, maybe u can only get 1 part for an hour, and not mentioning the maintenance cost is rather scary too

For material wise, actually all the material price doesn't differ much as what on the net, PBT can sell so much more than ABS or other keycaps. The fact that their material specification and shrinkage properties makes them pain in the ass to control their after dimension.

P/S forgot cost about laser engraving, filling, pad printing etc.. unless u are only gonna ship blank caps, even colour keycaps (the coloured material have very long lead time and it is very difficult to get similar colour base on different production lot (from my experience even same production lot, the resin colour varies slightly). The spectrometer to confirm your part colour cost a Proton Wira FYI..

CODE
;Mediakey
#F7::Send {Media_Next}
#F6::Send {Media_Previous}
#F5::Send {Media_Stop}
#F4::Send {Media_Play_Pause}
return

#F3::Send {Volume_Up}
SoundGet, master_volume
voltip := Round(master_volume)
Tooltip, Vol: %voltip%`%
SetTimer, RemoveToolTip, 2000
return

#F2::Send {Volume_Down}
SoundGet, master_volume
voltip := Round(master_volume)
Tooltip, Vol: %voltip%`%
SetTimer, RemoveToolTip, 2000
return

#F1::
Send {Volume_Mute}
SoundGet, master_mute, , mute
if(master_mute = "on")
{
Tooltip, Mute On
}else
{
Tooltip, Mute Off
}
SetTimer, RemoveToolTip, 2000
return

Here is a code for autohotkey for those who cannot understand code like me.. Took me a while to compile this from the net
F1-F3 were stolen from Ripster of GH
F4-F7 came from Here

F1-Mute
F2-Volume down 2%
F3-Volume up 2%
F4-Play/Pause
F5-Stop
F6-Previous Track
F7-Next Track

Set to emulate ducky position, it's awkward but i'm getting used to it..

Anyone have any idea if I only want my RWin to be registered for this? I hope that my LWin would function as normal windows key.

People shouldn't worrying about shiny keys.
The keys will all eventually turning shiny after some time.
It's all about typing habits.

I've known people who got shiny keys only after a week of use on Filco.
Even PBT will get shiny.

I din really bother just surprise as it's the least used button, and also my ducky key actually last much longer than that.

U can buy a keyboard without mediakey and link them using script i posted earlier (Autohotkey)
or just buy a keyboard with mediakey like
7g, 6g, Ducky, mionix etc

Oh... because i heard many people in GH are recommending G80-3000 series... didnt know that it is 2KRO....  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
PS: On the Ducky Quality Issue, in my opinion, if Ducky's price is neck to neck with Filco and with the alignment failure of the keys (the Esc seems to be the main issue here, and i would call it a failed alignment because based on what the distributor said about the "to enable users to pull the keycap without using the keypuller, then why would the unit owned by Sky.Live would align differently? His white Ducky's Esc position is towards the bottom left corner....) I would honestly get the Filco, because I would think "If it's price is almost the premium ones asked by Filco, why not get the Filco and have a peace of mind?  Well, but now that the issue regarding the arrow keys are floating here and there.... everything is still pending for speculation and explanation... laugh.gif  laugh.gif

If you want to based on comparison, price based, i don't think it's damn cheap anyway.

45cents x 104 = RM46.80

Elitekeyboards.com Ring Softlanding Pad 120 piece = 12 USD

12 USD x 3.2 = RM38.40

Well, if shipping fee is removed, i think softlanding pad are worth much more.

But based on your digit 45cent per piece, which is a rough digit... maybe got 30cents?  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  , hmm....  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
hmm i cant really rmb the price anyway haha.. my friend show me his cost price before.. since he is in the seal business but 45c is like dont know how many times profit margin edi
