QUOTE(chocoraisin @ Jul 17 2013, 03:31 PM) Hi everyone, by wet food do you mean those dog can food? did you just recently let her eat can food? if its just recently start to eat can food then don't want to eat the kibbles, that's coz can food actually contains much much much much more flavourings in the food, so it tastes so much more better than dry kibbles.... and very much more unhealthy for ur dog.... its like children wanting to eat fast food / junk food rather than their proper meals....I need some help here.. My poodle all of sudden she don't wan to eat de dog food except the wet one... Wat happen.. Any idea?? She likes to eat so much previously.. All of sudden she don't wan eat le.. Pls help ... She din seem not feeling well to me.. Cos she still jumping and running around... I would suggest stopping the can food, and continue to give her kibbles, after a few days, she will eventually be hungry enough to eat her kibbles.... but as owners, I understand the heart ache of seeing our furbaby not eating.... >.< I never give can food to my girl because its unhealthy and she can be picky.... once I gave her steam fresh chicken meat for dinner 2 days in a row, she refused her kibbles.... immediately I stopped giving her steam meat, and after a few days of food strike, she is back to her kibbles.... she needs to learn discipline, if not no nice food for her.... only once in a blue moon I will add egg whites or steam chicken (meat only, no bones) for some variety in her meals.... these are more healthy options.... also some fruits which dogs can eat, I will share with her as treats when I eat fruits.... |

Hi all,
Recently brought a toy poodle. 3rd vaccine soon. I would like to ask what is the maximum food intake for a puppy. I read from this thread, seem like 10% of body weight when in puppy and 2%-3% of body weight when adult. Is it 6 months considered adult? |

Wanted to buy a trimmer/clipper for my maltipoo. His hair is getting longer. Any suggestion? Saw some at lelong.com.my. Is the quality ok?

QUOTE(CyaNide27 @ May 4 2013, 10:36 AM) Just my opinion.... But probably you've already went through with the breeding without reading up much about it.... Hi Cyanide27, Especially your's is a teacup, finding a male bigger size than her could cause her babies to be bigger than her which could lead to difficult labour.... You'd probably need to spend on c-sec.... If you havent went through with the breeding, i would strongly advice you to read up on pregnancy, breeding, feeding newborns in case their mother refuse to feed and anything under the sun regarding to breeding.... Especially being a teacup already having higher risks of health problems, all the more you need to prepare if you have no experience.. Also ask yourself, what is your main reason to breed her? To sell her pups for money? So is she your money making machine? To let her experience childbirth? To have puppies like her? So is it worth to risk her life for all those? And have you check her & the potential male ancestry line, the potential male and herself for any inheritable diseases? Most dont appear until old age.... Do you want her following generations to also suffer from genetic defects and health problems? First, you're wrong, i didn't breed her. Reason to breed her?? Do you have dog? if yes, what is yr reason to have your dog? What make you think that i don't have experience to take a good care of dog? Why all your 'assumptions' made are all so negative? Sell for money, money making machine, what is this?... Do you know how much love and effort spend my my dog? How well you know about my dog? I hope is not just because of a term of teacup+breed, you made all your own judgment there. I knew this is just your opinion and advice, but it seem like you're not neutral enough. |

At the end of the day, owner knows best. Try feeding a certain amount you find comfortable with for 2 weeks. Observe. If you find your dog too skinny, increase the amount and observe again. Reduce if otherwise. After some time, you will know the best amount to feed. |
