you can use a conditioner like extra volume to make your poodle hair look flurry

cause after i shower him i usually blow dry and comb at the same time with cold air. but its like not easy for me to brush through his hair.

also, i want to use a good shampoo without conditioner cause his skin is a little sensitive. but thank you smile.gif

Actually, if you are using a human blow dryer for a dog, it should be cool air and not warm air. Cause our setting is too hot for them.

I comb Noodle's hair everyday with a poodle brush. smile.gif

If your human dryer got 2 level , than just set to level 1 and put some distance from your dog ,it won't hot .

Poodle brush?user posted image

This 1 is more suitable if your poodle is long hair

yeap i am using the first brush. he goes to grooming occasionally when his fur gets too long. for now its only maybe an inch poofy. i've tried black hair shampoo but it's really hard to groom him after using black hair shampoo, the groomer said so too as she used the black hair shampoo for noodles once.

ya his previous owner sucks. they never even feed him normal dog kibbles, just like treats everyday.........

so when i brought him to the groomer the first time, she said he has very little fur compared to other poodles. i think he was very malnourished and dropped alot of fur.

took me awhile to actually get him to eat kibbles. now hes fatter, healthier and is growing more fur! just a little thick and hard to comb at times.

this is him now smile.gif user posted image

Hi guys/gals,

I will be getting a toy poodle tomorrow and i was wondering what to feed it (brand/type). As I am quite particular with the food given as I myself is a chef.. LOL.. If possible, I could introduce raw food diet?

thanks!

Hey if you're interested in raw feeding, perhaps you can check out another thread in lowyat discussing about BARF & raw feeding... https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=856663

Another thread in lowyat you can find is on dog food discussion.... https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1411212

Hope that helps smile.gif

Just my opinion.... But probably you've already went through with the breeding without reading up much about it....

Especially your's is a teacup, finding a male bigger size than her could cause her babies to be bigger than her which could lead to difficult labour.... You'd probably need to spend on c-sec....

If you havent went through with the breeding, i would strongly advice you to read up on pregnancy, breeding, feeding newborns in case their mother refuse to feed and anything under the sun regarding to breeding.... Especially being a teacup already having higher risks of health problems, all the more you need to prepare if you have no experience..

Also ask yourself, what is your main reason to breed her? To sell her pups for money? So is she your money making machine? To let her experience childbirth? To have puppies like her? So is it worth to risk her life for all those?

And have you check her & the potential male ancestry line, the potential male and herself for any inheritable diseases? Most dont appear until old age.... Do you want her following generations to also suffer from genetic defects and health problems?
