Strawberrynet sells real stuff though you have to read carefully what you purchase. They offer unboxed items realy cheap. Thankfully in your case, it is standard packaging without wraps.

Are you guys saying perfume swapping causes mod to delete your post ?

At Viena airport now. Fragrance testing galore ....

1. Terre De Hermes - Smells like rotten orange but strangely quite good. Strikes me as something semi-formal to formal wear.
2. Dior Fahrenheit - Arrgh ...not for me. For those who want something similar at a cheaper price go get Ferrari Uomo. Dry down is the same.
3. Paco Rabanne Paco - This is a big surprise, opens citruscy but then the middle noted is tea ! Reminds me so much of a spicier Bvlgari Soir and its on sale ! Might get this if still available on my return.
4. Givenchy Play Intense - Real smooth gourmand. Coffee and vanilla, real nice and pleasant. Another one in consideration.
5. Gucci Pour Hommme II - Very nice and soothing smell but not very strong. On my hand i have paco and play. These both are like the lead singer and once in a while you get the backup singer, and that's GPHII. Worth buying as well.

I ran out of arm to test more.

On my way back to Malaysia.

I really dig CK One Summner 2012. Only wish it last longer.
Joop Homme : OMG super duper power house. Damn strong the smell. Those who want a frag that lasts this is it !

Yes Joop Homme is very floral. It starts out sweet but after that it becomes very floral. I don't like it because it has Jasmine. I avoid jasmine scents. I haven't test Individuale. With Joop Homme you only need one spray. Less is more with this frag. I'm quite annoyed with it right now. I plan to do a lot more of sampling but this smell is ruining my sense of smell right now.

From Joop, I prefer Nightflight very much.

I'm back at home. So just want to add my 2 cents to all the frags i tested in the airports. I like my fragrances to have a touch of sweetness just to give you a picture of my taste:

Recommended:
Givenchy Play - Nice fresh notes blended into coffee accord. Good longevity average projection
Givenchy Play Intense - More sensual, more gourmand and better projection that the original. I almost bought this.
CK One Summer 2012 - Nice time, cucumber mix. Very fresh and slightly sweet. Not very good on longevity but real nice. Girls will love this.
Pure Havane - I bought this. The dry down made a lasting impression on me. Very delicious though you have to survive the initial spray cause it is quite heavy. If you want something that last whole day. This is it. It's limited addition so kinda hard to find.
L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Eau Extreme Guerlain - Start out to be quite heavy but once it settles, great mix of coco and anise. Well balanced with great longevity. To the untrained nose, smells like coco and strawberry. You can only get this in Europe. Don't know why.
Joop Nightflight - Nice pineapple with a hint of sweetness and soapiness. Doesn't last long.

Neutral:
Bleu de Chanel - Too simple but does its job well.
Terre De Hermes - Nice over-riped orange smell but can't imagine using it for casual wear.
Guerlain Homme - Heavenly top notes with lime and booze like mojito but them dissapears after 5 minutes and becomes woody. If the top notes are linear, I would get this.
Mont Blanc Legend Special Edition 2012 - Much better than the original with more citruses and spices in the top notes. However like the original, the mid notes seems detectable by my nose apart from some soapy and musky smell.
Paco Paco Rabanne - Unisex fragrance with strong spices, citruses and tea. A little to spicy. If it was a little bit less spicy, I would ditch my Bvlgari Soir for this. Comes real cheap too.

Not my taste:
Fahrenheit - Strong, sharp and give me a headache.
Dirty English - Another leather fragrance that makes me nauseous.
Joop Homme - Top notes sends me spinning then the jasmine attacks. One spray is all you need. Only for floral lovers.

Yeah, tested that too, but too brief to give an opinion. It is costly.

LIDGE has a predominat cocoa smell with aniese. But the aniese actually smell like strawberry to be. So the drydown is cocoa and strawberry.
Very long lasting.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some recommendations on what to use for formal events like dinners, weddings, etc. Normally I just use my same everyday fragrances but I think it would be a good idea to get one for special occasions

LIDGE , Dior Homme Intense, Salvatore F pour Homme Black, Terre de Hermes.

Anyway do you guys like blind buy ? I like blind buying fragrances especially the cheaper and less reknown ones. Usually just based on the notes and reviews. Found many gems that way and its really exciting.

Yeah, blind buy is funĀ  thumbup.gif. Most of my fragrances I get from blind buy, just base from other reviews. the only fragrance I don't like from blind bought is Leau d'Issey.

L'instant de Guerlain Extreme is my all time favourite, one of the best fragrance I ever smell and the only one frag I have for backup bottle. sadly, we only can get this from online or go to Europe.

btw, anyone tried Gucci pour homme I? I heard it has been discontinued.

I only blind buy the cheaper fragrances that are lesser known. Discover some great ones like

J's Exte --> One of my favs
Par Zileri Sartoriale

by the way bugb34r, you are going into fragrance business now ? smile.gif

So far I only see LIDGE available in stores in europe. You bought it online ?

What the heck, how come the box serial is different from the bottle ? Maybe you should ask the sales assistant for an explanation.

I got myself a bottle of CDG wonderwood and 888....both very nice fragrances...longevity is short though....wonderwood is fast becoming a favourite for a night out
*
Wah I see lots of reference of Wonderwood being compared to Pal Zileri's Satrtoriale. I love Sartoriale. Must try this out, though a lot more expensive than Sartoriale.

bought a bottle of paris hilton's just me for men (100ml) from strawberrynet. got it today. Reminds me of the old school 4711 cologne. longevity is decent, got about 6 hours out of it. Was in an air con room so not much projection but it came out once I went out and walked about. Nothing special, pretty single dimensional fragrance. Got it for about RM105
*
Is it similar to aqua di gio ? Do you detect sweetness in this fragrance ?
