Guys , can i ask..i jailbroke my iphone..and now my home button got some problem...if i restore it , can i still have my warrantly ? and i press restore will appear to ask me update my version too..

hai there...sure it will not void the warranty..of coz u need to restore ur iphone coz its already jailbroken before..digi will not accept the phone if it is jailbroken...so i suggest u update to the latest ios since apple only sign latest ios(4.3.4)...after restore than u can sent the phone to claim the warranty from digi...

iOS5 will be sometime arnd Aug/Sept, only after iPhone5 is out....

Also, dont go update to 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 if you wanna keep your IP untethered... there wont be any untethered jb for these updated iOS...

ios 5 will be launch on 7 September

owh...download the ipsw restore file by clicking HERE...before u start restore the phone backup ur contacts data from the iphone..open i tunes and connect the phone..right click the device and click backup...

That link is the latest 4.3.5...!!! Are you trying to restore to that?? I tot you are trying to restore it to 4.2.1??

Also, what is the current firmware, and do you have your SHSH saved in Cydia via TinyUmbrella...?? More info on this will help...

the link that i given to u is the latest ios for iphone 4....for ur info u will only able to update or restore to the latest ios(ios 4.3.5) UNLESS ur dad iphone 4 is jailbroken before n the shsh blobs is saved before...
so when u have finish download the ipsw open itunes and click ur device, hit shift and click update and then browse the ipsw file that u have download before...

Apple no longer signs any firmware below 4.3.5, so you wont be able to restore any lower version firmware via iTunes 10.4, unless you have saved the SHSH blobs FOR THAT PHONE is saved earlier... and no, you cant simply use SHSH blobs from other phones....


I think we need more info from Mr Docter on his dad's phone current firmware, what updated firmware he wanna restore to, and why the need to update....

I doubt he wanna update it to 4.3.5... and as he is getting error 3194, i'd say his pc have JB an iPhone before, just maybe not his dad's unit...
