Why no one recommends Digi at SOHO Mont Kiara?? I tot that was the best place to go for good service and friendly staff??

Yup... I dont quite like BTS as the parking is horrendous and the shop is too small to accommodate the crowd...

I was wondering how come KLCC can do warranty claims....

iOS5 will be sometime arnd Aug/Sept, only after iPhone5 is out....

Also, dont go update to 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 if you wanna keep your IP untethered... there wont be any untethered jb for these updated iOS...

That link is the latest 4.3.5...!!! Are you trying to restore to that?? I tot you are trying to restore it to 4.2.1??

Also, what is the current firmware, and do you have your SHSH saved in Cydia via TinyUmbrella...?? More info on this will help...

Apple no longer signs any firmware below 4.3.5, so you wont be able to restore any lower version firmware via iTunes 10.4, unless you have saved the SHSH blobs FOR THAT PHONE is saved earlier... and no, you cant simply use SHSH blobs from other phones....


I think we need more info from Mr Docter on his dad's phone current firmware, what updated firmware he wanna restore to, and why the need to update....

I doubt he wanna update it to 4.3.5... and as he is getting error 3194, i'd say his pc have JB an iPhone before, just maybe not his dad's unit...

As said by greenlp, 4.3.5 is tethered JB... means you need to reconnect to pc and jb each and every time you restart the iPhone, really mafan esp if your phone battery is not optimum... so do it at your own risk and preference...

Also, unless your dad's phone have been JB AND you have saved his SHSH blobs (past firmware certs) in Cydia via TinyUmbrella, you will NOT be able to restore it to any other version but 4.3.5... and the process may look simple but there are plenty chances that you can screw up the process and still need to restore to 4.3.5 either way.... so its not a good solution for you now...

Did restarting the phone help the problem?? Its a good practice to occasionally switch off the phone once in a while to completely flush the memory buffer....

Oh ya, is your dad's iPhone jailbroken??

Apple delayed the launch of white IP4 due to this "turning" yellow issue, and after 6 months delay, they have managed to ensure it wont turn yellow-ish.... so it should be safe...

But wont Digi be really happy if it does indeed turn full yellow....

You can change to Digi and retain your current number, but it will take one day for the process to be completed...

The RM53 per month is your package minimum payment per month, and you will be given a fixed allowance (SMS, Data 1GB, etc)... so its the amount you pay per month, tied to contract period (12 or 24 or 36 months)... if i recall correctly, the diff is the longer the contract period, the lesser the amount you need to pay for the iP4...

The screen turning yellow is dependant on the screen itself and the manufacturing batch and the screen batch... it has nothing to do with the color of the iPhone... I have 2 3GS and both screen color are diff, yes, one is slightly yellow... but the screen have not turned yellow as compared to day one...

iP4 uses a different screen than the 3GS, the retina display... and so far there are not much complain of it...

Added on August 15, 2011, 12:33 amEDIT: Sorry, my mistake... the delay was due to the white not being uniform white, and they kinda rectified it...

White turning yellow is mainly due to the UV rays from the sun, and over time all white items will turn yellow... admittedly, iPhone whites will turn yellow but it may not turn too yellow too fast, maybe just in time for you to get iPhone6...??

Oh yea, why arent you waiting for iPhone5..??

By the way iPad2 reaches our local telco, it should take no more than 2-3 months after US launch, thus prolly Dec or Jan 2012, which is not too far away...

There are no confirmed specs yet, but expect it to be much faster than iPhone4 (using dual or quad core cpu, more RAM, others unknown yet)... but the expected launch date is Sept 7th in the US, and that is not that long a period to wait before deciding on which iPhone to get, no??

The choice is still your to make...

ADD-ON: Also, waiting till iPhone5 reaches here could be good, as when iPhone5 sells here, iPhone4 will automatically get at least RM300 discount, based on iP4 and iPad2 launches...
