The watermark is hardcoded to the video itself. So you can't disable it.

Only MYTV themselves can remove it.

I believe we all know that only non-official digital TV STBs can do recording.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Is there a SIRIM and MCMC approved DVB-T2 boxes that allow programme recording? If yes, do share with us which model is it, and where to buy...

I know CJ Wow Shop do sell the Greenpacket brand of DVB-T2 box, which is SIRIM and MCMC approved. But not sure if it allow user to record.
Anyone using that here, do share with us that info.

MYTV can provide HbbTV services, but the hundreds of thousands ringgit question is, which broadcaster are interested to implement that?
If no one wants to provide that, then MYTV is like selling many big nice houses that nobody buy.

Not everyone has it. It is especially those who reside in areas where terrestrial signal are hard to reach due to geographical factors, then the satellite version of MYTV would be used.

shaun_kok I just realised that TV3 analogue channel is now showing TV squeeze-back on ASO on 224.25MHz frequency (Bkt Sg Besi) for Klang valley region.
The UHF version at 535.25MHz (G. Ulu Kali) does not show any TV squeeze-back on ASO.
Are you able to see that TV squeeze-back in JB area (G. Pulai transmitter) for TV3?

Contact your building management to ask if the centralised antenna supports digital TV. If they say no, contact MYTV customer service and inform them, so that they'll try to upgrade the centralise antenna to support digital TV. Not guarantee can la, but can try.

Or else, use an indoor UHF antenna to receive digital TV.

Yeah... Digital TV uses UHF frequency, that's why you need a UHF antenna.
That VHF antenna can either throw away or keep in store room as your childhood memories.

Seriously yes, the Go Shop channel from Astro, is now on digital TV.


If your digital TV box or IDTV didn't manage to detect this new channel, or unable to auto update channel list, you can perform manual search on MUX 1 frequency (666MHz for Klang Valley area),
or perform Auto Search if you don't know what I'm talking about, but still want to receive this channel.

It is the broadcaster's (Media Prima) decision whether they want their channels to be in SD or HD on myFreeview digital TV platform.
Because the annual price of transmitting a HD channel on myFreeview is higher than SD channel.
It is also counted by per Mbps used in the transmission (including video, audio tracks, multiple subtitle tracks, EPG data, interactive apps, etc.)

So you can assume that Media Prima priority to made HD available on TV3 due to higher viewership.
You know la, Media Prima's highest income now is from the sales of CJ Wow Shop. That's why you see NTV7 and TV9 shows shopping stuff almost whole day.
What Media Prima did now is, can save how much, then save how much lo... As long cukup makan enough for them to produce some few good programmes, including news.

How come RTM can transmit all their channels in HD on myFreeview?
Because it's a national TV broadcaster, and government also want to encourage terrestrial TV viewers to switch to digital TV by providing its channels in HD.

Hmm, I thought MYTV announced that all transmitters has been up and running?

Anyhow, if still can't receive digital TV signals, it could be due to some geographical factors and obstructions such as buildings. Consider use outdoor antenna la, if that's the case... Don't rely too much that indoor antenna can receive adequate signals. Don't forget that MYTV uses 256QAM for digital TV broadcasts, which could make it harder to lock on not so strong signals compared to 64QAM.
