Normal casement windows. No brand lah.. Normal green glass.. no tinting.  tongue.gif
Just that I insisted on 1.2mm thick aluminum.
The branded ones usually give 1.3mm and above.
Grille. Yup... with Angle bars .

That one is normal aluminum support (maybe a GI metal) very thin. For plaster ceiling.

yes, that is the one. Does it cost extra if the metal support is longer?

Longer as in from slab to ceiling? Unless length go from 1' to 2' maybe cost some extra. How much more you need to pay? My contractor did not ask for extra.

IMHO, it should not cost that much to justify the additional RM 1.3 psf that your contractor is charging you. The metal strap is basically secured to the bottom chord of the roof truss

Actually my house is really high in the middle and very low at the front and back just like a pyramid. So the tall areas of the house would need more than 2 feet of the metal support.
Anyway, anyone mind to recommend a plaster ceiling contractor so that i cld get another quote? Tq.

Its steel type. The hole for the lock is already built in as a standard.

The door installer will cut the hole using grinder.

Air Cond Piping lesson

The last thing I expect to have headache about is Air cond piping.
I thought - choose air cond, agree on installation price then its go.
Little did i know that the copper piping for these air cond will cause me headache. doh.gif

Eventually I plan to put 7 air cond in my house.
As I have limited $$$ now, decide to put 2 air cond first. sad.gif

My wetwork contractor advised me to prepare the piping first for the other air cond so in future when install the balance air cond then no need hacking in the walls any more to conceal the pipes.
So I gotten my electrical contractor to quote me.

This was what I've got:-

Installation Charges (Concealed, no free piping at all)
1.0HP - RM160
1.5HP - RM180
2.0HP - RM230
2.5HP - RM260

Concealed Copper Piping Charges / feet
1.0HP - RM17
1.5HP - RM19
2.0HP - RM22
2.5HP - RM25

Water Piping
RM 6.00 feet.

With 7 air cond piping running between 20 - 40 feet each this is gonna cost me a bomb rclxub.gif

So I went hunting for another quote, got one but after some digging,
Initially, I thought I struck the mother lode but further digging (literally tongue.gif ) it is quite costly too :- as below

Installation Charges (Non Concealed, free 10 Feet copper piping)
1.0HP - RM130
1.5HP - RM150
2.0HP - RM200
2.5HP - RM250
Which sounds good but when Its concealed (Each unit add RM180) doh.gif

Copper Piping Charges / feet
1.0HP - RM10
1.5HP - RM12
2.0HP - RM14
2.5HP - RM16
Which sounds good but when Its concealed (Each unit add RM180) doh.gif doh.gif

In the end decided to stick with existing electrical contractor rather than bringing another guy... rclxub.gif
