You're lucky. My ping is always above 50ms.Average ~60ms+ even for local TM speedtest server.

The question is why Unifi users on same ip block as me do not experience slowdown? They must have grabbed all available bandwidth to those file hosting servers.

30-NOV, 10KB/s at everything online storage sites. Except Nvidia and ATI driver download are at full speed.

International traffic throttle again?
*
Yeah is weird..

i get about 8kbps for all direct download that i tested... Asus drivers, Videolan, MSN, Adobe, firefox..

but ATI and Nvidia drivers from their international site i still manage to get 120kbps

are they throttling all direct download and add exception for ATI and Nvidia????

Something's wrong because Unifi users on same IP range can download from Mediafire with no issues.

Stronger FTTH bandwidth magnet pull I guess. It sucked most of the resources that Streamyx users share with them.

Attenuation - Upstream (0.1 dB): 35
Attenuation - Downstream (0.1 dB): 95

Line Attenuation
Measure of how much the signal has degraded between the DSLAM and the modem. Maximum signal loss recommendation is usually about 60dB. The lower the dB the better for this measurement.
> 20dB and below is outstanding
> 20dB-30dB is excellent
> 30dB-40dB is very good
> 40dB-50dB is good
> 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues
> 60dB or above is bad and will experience connectivity issues

Any one know the reason behind high attenuation?

Maybe your internal telephone line old already or the line outside your house have been faulty or because of your distance from the DSLAM (Box at the road side) or exchange.

back then i had similar issue the telephone line from the box outside to your modem is old or faulty. If its change and still got similar issue it could be something else then

Added on December 2, 2011, 4:56 amI am downloading a file at 4am now getting max speed.

I got 2 lines at home 1 is 4mbps and the other 1 is 1mbps. On my 4mbps the speed is very much normal around 410-480kbps download from USA. But my 1mbps gets a shitty 5kbps. Both with same file from same server from USA. My guess is priority is given to 4mbps user. Is this another tactics to force user to upgrade?
*
For my 2Mbps line, Streamyx is hopeless the whole day through. Then only after 3AM they would turn off the speed cap and let my line go, by which time I'm already in bed.

Malaysia, right?
