have you removed the spoiler? if not, then how do you know it looks ugly beneath it? smile.gif

to remove spoiler:

1. Center piece - Open the boot, remove the small plastic clips holding the grey plastic back cover in place.
2. Take out the plastic back cover, then look carefully there are 3 screws holding the spoiler in place. Remove the 3 screws, and the rest of the spoiler is stuck on using double sided tape. Slowly peel it off from the side and work your way towards the middle part.

3. Left and right piece - Remove the side plastic trim inside the boot if you can. If not, it's fine also. There is a small cover on the trim which you can remove (when you want to change rear light bulbs). Remove that cover.
4. Hopefully you don't have Mike Tyson hands, so if your hands can fit, feel around and there is one screw holding the left/right piece.
5. Using tools and probably your fingers too, try and loosen and remove the screws. In total there should be 1+3+1 screws.

Once you've done that, you can remove the spoiler but there will be 5 holes on the back part of the car then. If you want to plug those up, go get the spoiler hole screws from Brother's (refer to few pages back).

The screws holding the spoiler will have small plastic washers. Up to you whether you want to use those with the spoiler hole screws or not. I did, cause wanted to try and prevent water from seeping in but the worker at Brother's said no need.

Good luck. You can take photos if you wish and I can help indicate rough positions of the screws if you want.

Don't WASTE your money. These stuffs have been proven over and over again to be totally ineffective. As others say, you might get mental effect, placebo effect. smile.gif one very simple reasoning you can use for all these snake oil devices, if they are so good and REALLY work, why won't car manufacturers include them as standard accessories? can you imagine how much more sales if they can advertise a car getting 5l/100km instead of a competitor's non-cyclone equipped car at 6-7l/100km? smile.gif

don' trust me on this, trust popular mechanics! tongue.gif read up and don't fall for marketing schemes to take your hard earned money away!

p/s: speaking of fuel saver, anyone remember Dr. Halim Ali and his hydrofuel which was in the news 3 years ago? I wonder what happened... if it works and really saves fuel, it should be in the world market by now!!! esp. in the US smile.gif

QUOTE(shahiryusoff @ Sep 19 2011, 03:32 PM)
And, has anyone tried this thing before? Any positive result? Save fuel? More power?

I think it is quite cheap but don't know whether has effect or not.  icon_rolleyes.gif

or you can buy the rubber seal... it's cheap few RM only and easy to diy replace. but I think black silicone is the best cause with new rubber seal, i can still see few drops seeping through but it's not so bad and will probably dry out after a while

QUOTE(jason1986 @ Sep 22 2011, 04:53 PM)
It is leaking through the bottom of the back wiper for aerobacks. The rubber seal has hardened. I just use black silicone to seal up the gaps. No more leaking!

my belts are also squeeling now, not sure if belt or the bearing... I think for me it's belt cause if I spray some water at the belts while engine running, then it all becomes quiet... bought the 3 belts for RM28 recently but have not figured out how to replace them... might need to go mechanic. maybe you might want to check the belts and replace them if it's been some time already...

seems overpriced, according to autoclaims.com.my it should be around 9k to 10k only. and quick check in mudah, even dealer selling at 9.8k and private sellers asking around 10k

Change it if you dont know how long its been in there. Also if when you engage gears sometimes you feel slight resistance, also good sign to change it.

I recently changed mine at shell station service center. Rm32 for the gear oil, rm10 for workmanship (but i also asked the mech to change my alternator/power steeri/ac belts too).

The gear oil is stored in those small tank with wheels, and the gear oil is pumped into the gearbox from underneath.

For change interval, check manual or just do a google search for best recomendations. Common sense tells you that these are lubricants, and to run for extended period without changing is just a recipe for disaster. It doesn't cost that much to change anyway.

update: iswara service manual says change every 4 yrs or 80k

QUOTE(jason1986 @ Oct 6 2011, 04:50 PM)
hey guys, any idea whether the manual transmission oil for proton iswara aeroback needs to be changed? did not change since i bought the car. if yes, roughly how much does it cost?

also, wat is the wrench size for the spark plugs on the iswara aeroback? planning to do DIY. Economy very bad.

Don't think can diy cause they used that canister to pump the gear oil in... I didn't even bother to ask what gear oil they put in, assumed that shell mech will know which type. After all this is not a lambo wink.gif

After changing the gear oil, engaging gear smooth... Before that sometimes resistance in 1st gear and 2nd...

If you're changing this, remember power steering and brake fluid needs to be changed at service intervals too... smile.gif

QUOTE(jason1986 @ Oct 6 2011, 10:36 PM)
haha, okay, means need to change la rite? my car about 100k km d...13 years. don't think it has been changed. better change i think. resistance oni when wanna masuk reverse gear.

what sort of gear box oil? SP111? or Dexron? i Don't have the manual. bought second hand from my aunty.

Cant DIY right?

guess the only way is to take a dyno test BEFORE and AFTER the CAI and see if it made any difference... or on your daily drive, do you feel any difference?

QUOTE(mH3nG @ Oct 7 2011, 07:56 PM)
Guys, this is my first post here so I hope you all will go easy one me. smile.gif
I recently modified my saga lmst and installed a CAI because I thought it would give me more power.
So far I'm pretty satisfied with the results but the more I read, the more I come across people ditching their CAI setup and changed it back to the stock air intake with some minor mods (drop in filter etc).

I'm quite lost as in whether or not the CAI was a right thing to do.
Any advice from the sifu's here?
[attachmentid=2473717]
p.s. the CAI takes the air from behind the right headlamp

me also no expert but with performance or fuel enhancing devices, the only sure way to test is the scientific way. measure it. otherwise there is no way of knowing... butt dyno doesn't work well and is not accurate due to placebo effect smile.gif

QUOTE(mH3nG @ Oct 7 2011, 09:16 PM)
I'm no expert but I think the engine response is more linear now.
Before this, there was a noticable drop in power after 2500rpm in 1st.
