I just pasang the full rubber mounting today. Only front and rear...

Here's the pro and cons for our Iswara / Saga chassis...

Cons
- Vibration is 15-30% harsher on the dashboard and steering wheel...
- Much more worse if the aircond compressor kicked in (felt like small tremor) or moving car at higher gear (2nd or 3rd) after bump

Pros
- Engine felt much more solid when crusing.
- Acceleration can be felt more...(less kinetic energy waste by unnecessary engine movement)

So like i mentioned earlier last time, those who is thinking of changing their mounting to full rubber ones, please don't do so if you want smooth and quiet ride...

I have a small discussion with Jack of After12 who sell autofoam. Normally if foam under the carriage only, no problem one.

But if foam @ your a,b,c pillars then hailat.com if accident that time...

i've found a 4g15 block RM700 with paper. labour RM350 with gasket.
if i want to plonk it in, do i have to go through changing parts like peekaboo? what else 'to-do-list' i have to do? what other things i have to check? pistons? etc. etc. etc.  im so confused now. thank you sifoos.
*
Wah mana dpt i2 block...i also want brows.gif

Hard to say one..if block just come out fresh (that means not leave idle for long) i think should be ok...used till got problem only then do overhaul...

But if u want to save the labour cost, then do overhaul one shot kaotim with engine balancing and oversize pistons rolleyes.gif ..should be around RM2-3k like tat..

Sorry for noob question, but does the windscreen really have an expiry date? If it does, how long can a windscreen lasts? blush.gif
Guys, I have 1 question. It is recommended to fix stabilizer bar at the engine there (across the two absorbers there)? Here's a picture.

How much does it costs to fix this?

And this thing,is it recommended to fix it? What is the advantage of having this two items?

Thank you. wub.gif
*
Your first bar should be room bar and it's cheap too. Not much effect on handling but safety yes (side impact)

2nd bar should be side bar. Abit expensive but will help your car stable on fast speeds (feels like driving conti car) * depends on your absorbers + springs + tyres as well but what ever it is, you can immediately feel the effect biggrin.gif

3rd bar should be either rear upper or fender bar (malas to explain)

4th bar should be rear ARB (for Saga Iswara only) as there is no custom front ARB for our chassis sad.gif

5th bar should be 4 point middle lower bar (malas to explain)

Useless bar

Front strut bar (chassis too weak, cant feel the difference)

**Disclaimer - This is only applicable for Saga Iswara..but generally the bars above will have the same effect on all types of car..

as for the radiator shud change to bigger one?

Added on September 9, 2011, 12:54 ampeekaboo, are u using back the same radiator?

As long u never overbore, it should be ok to use stock radiator.

Just ensure ur radiator is not full with rust and fan is working...

Yup, EA can do 4G1series engine rebuilding biggrin.gif

Anyone try to mod in Wira compressor to LMST? Feel that the aircon was not so cool although tinted and service aircond already.
*
I have did it..

Pro - Aircond damn cold biggrin.gif

Cons - Engine will feel much heavier as compressor is bigger. You may opt to change to undersize lighten crank pulley to counter the effect wink.gif

With installation all together should be EA biggrin.gif

If you ask around, the price maybe cheaper but not with installation. If you go UR HQ for installation, minimum charge is RM50.

If you can find any other workshop that can offer cheap installation fee also would be nice provided the bar is cheap as well smile.gif

Another sifu here also can help to install if u r driving Saga/Iswara.. Sinister_Sid

One fella in 4G1series used before on his LMST. Need to spend additional RM100 to custom bracket...

Lagi worse than full rubber mounting..alot of noise came out from engine bay...

Really wonder what type of suspension that they used on this car hmm.gif

And surely the CAM has been changed to matspeed cams + PnP head and perhaps rebore the block to bigger size..

Else how do you expect the car to move the heavy 16' R3 rims...

It will last long enough...depends on driving style..

If no emergency or hard braking, sure can last you around 2 years..

I have another pair of stock side RS Pad that is left around 40-50%. Not using it since changing to bigger disk n calipers from VR4 brows.gif

The pads double the size of OEM pads..same goes to the price doh.gif

sinister_sid, ur nick doesnt sound too convincing la. haha. just kidding. PM me a quotation for absorbers and springs for both front and back and servicing of carb.

I just tried a random workshop. fixed the following:

mounting - front and back - RM190 - Only RM120 for both @ Spare part shop. Good quality ones.
Satay bush - RM95 for two - Normal or PU Bush? Normal then it's expensive..
engine oil - rm55 - Mineral?
oil filterĀ  - rm 10 - OK
labour - rm30.00 - Ok laaa

is the price reasonable?

Previously went to another workshop and changed the following -

Wash radiator - RM75
change radiator hoses - two big ones connected to radiator and one U shaped one - forgot how much
metal pipe connected to water pump - forgot how much
thermostat housing - forgot how much

but the above about 300+

Is the price reasonable? = Super duper expensive..you have been get conned...
