QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Jun 17 2011, 02:48 AM) (maddriver @ Apr 11 2009, 07:56 AM) if u use a crank pulley without the rubber dampener, then the criticial vibrations running down the crank will not be cancelled out, thus damaging the con rod bearings and the main bearings... the only time that u can use those undampened crank pulleys is when u send the whole bottom end for engine balancing... as for the dampened versions, those are made to be just plug and play, no need to take the engine apart for balancing...... (autoworld) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 2 types of lightened crank pulley in the market:- 1. one of which is undersized 2. one comes with a damper Advantage of having an undersized pulley is that the revs climb much faster. Normally it is used for race cars so they will rebuild the engine every time after race. So con rod bearing wear is not a problem as we change the bearings during each rebuild. Advantage of having a lightened and dampened pulley is that the revs will climb slightly faster but not as fast as the undersized pulleys. With the damper in place, we will have peace of mind when it comes to the wear & tear of the con rod bearings. Errrmm... Ever since I refueled full tank last 2 weeks, been driving it for 120+km, and the fuel gauge is still at full tank. Cuz last time if I remember correctly, about 70+km the fuel gauge will drop/fluctuate liaw. The fuel symbol which normally remains dim (blink at low fuel), lights up but do not blink.
Is my fuel gauge rosak? expensive to repair? or was i being stupid? This post has been edited by Lowenkreuz: Jun 17 2011, 10:04 PM |
