I've called Honda Malaysia and they can't confirm a date for me. They've mentioned the earlier batch before mine got delayed as well. It's the parts shortage from Thailand so they say. Seriously dunno to trust them or not. Ordered mine from KAH motor, Penang.

QUOTE(spayre @ Oct 1 2011, 06:59 PM)
hi guys,

today i went to a big tayar shop at around pj for wheel rotation, alignment and balancing for the city .

however the tayar specialist told me two things

1. "front wheel round already"
- he recommend changing tayar. front only if no money
- my car milage is only 20k, perhaps my mistake of not rotating at first 10k

2. " the car pulls to the left, need to add chamber "
- apparently honda city front chamber are not align-able, need to pay workmanship and chamber kit (rm 130)

Has anyone experienced it b4? is it true that i need to add in a chamber kit for the front?
*
no! don't you ever change your chamber kit, unless it really necessary.
I call it adjustable chamber screw. Once you change it, you'll find it becomes more worst, almost everymonth need to do alignment.

Do you know some tayar shop using adjustable screw purposely to ensure your tayar tread/surface cepat botak?
You'll find the tire always unbalance on the surface (bunga makan sebelah).

last time my first car, I change it on 1st week got my car. Damn, alway every month need to do alignment + tire surface botak/not balance. End up I found the tire shop purposely do that. I learn it from my friend who is mechanic.

so more, it really hard the camber screw will damages/bend unless you hit the pothole really hard.

anyway, the camber screw also usable for other purpose.

1. I changed mine at 32k coz got a sidewall puncture on one tyre... decided to go for 205/50/R16 so changed all 4.. I got friends whom managed to go up to 60k before changing but dangerous coz can see the metal frame d.. hehe

2. I went for Yokohama.. reasonable low budget tyres... grip good, wearing is slow.. but just a bit noisy but more quiet than stock Goodyear/Continental tyres

3. I got mine 1 and half years ago at RM250.. lately is RM280.. can get from Sunway... but if go to Klang (Kilang Papan) can get for RM250-RM260...

4. Yours is E spec same as me.. 185 is correct but hard to find this tyre size.. so shop will recommend u to go for 195/55 instead of 185/60... but i suggest u go for 205/50.. lessor different in speedometer reading...

but i am only changing 2 tyres, wud it cause any problem to the car while having 2 different sizes?

"but i suggest u go for 205/50" >> need to change the rim?

"lessor different in speedometer reading" >> what do you mean?

if you go for wider size, then you are advice to locate it at rear axle for optimum handling purpose, 185/55-16 can't say hard to find, just those few brand available are no cheap also.
stock rim can use 205/50-16 also, but u will found the tire is fatter than the rim as the rim width is only 6JJ
"lessor different in speedometer reading" ,here you go
you gain better handling, gripping and performance for wider tire, but at the same time it will affect ur fuel consumption also,so better choose what you really need for your car

My uncle owns a shop servicing aircond... basically you do not need to service your aircond unless there are problems with it. You can drive your car without servicing the aircond for years... no problem smile.gif
