i booked my city since end of june.
the honda sales man said my car mostly will arrive on the end of july or beginning of august.
i also receive a confirmation letter from honda saying that too.
but the salesman just called me this evening saying that they just got the new memo stating that no new batch of city will be coming until september.

Did you change the rims as well?

Anyway, rev to 5.5k just now when climbing a slope to overtake another car, the sound is different, and engine feels different, and sure it accelerates fast, from 50km/h to 80km/h easily while climbing, and while the rpm idling down to around 4k, somehow the engine has another tone of sound, and it feels rough, I guess that is when the vtec de-activates?

i think you'll be able to find the city more responsive when in S mode and holding the rev around 3 - 4k when cruising along the old roads to ipoh.

there's once i was strugglin to catch up with an x-trail until i slammed on the accelerator and the engine just roared shocking.gif

bro moon, me stay near to the pasar borong selangor.. anyway, that was my lucky day.. thanks god!

as for safety, i had visit honda few hours back.. do some discuss with the foreman.. and i decided to disable the boot key slot function as i already cover the key hole with my plate number.. pretty easy by unattached a tiny rod from its place.. just ask any honda sc to do it for u and ask them to enable boot alarm as well.. hope this might help to secure our car..  thumbup.gif

hey, sorry for late reply.

hm.. i'll check it out on the boot lock issue.

btw; the boot alarm is not armed on default?? u gotta ask them to enable it seperately???

Guys..

Im thinking of adding ultra racing bar to my nhc... Currently i have front strut bar (2 points) ... Ut i have no idea which bar would give signifcant diff in handling... What i am thinking of is 19mm anti roll bar with 4 points front lower bar...

Any other better opinion?

try UR 16mm anti-roll bar.. 19mm too big might cause snap oversteer
and 2 point front lower bar that links the two lower arms
steering feels tightened with more feedback instantly after reversing out from the jack! brows.gif

So, r usuggesting 16mm ARB with 2 point front lower? It's better than 19mm ARB with 4points front lower?

Yeah, to me i think it's better
It's up to your individual needs and what do you expect the car to behave
Because i think that i don't want to add too much weight onto the car
19mm and 4 Point front lower bar is thicker and contribute more weight
Extra weight will slow down the car given the fact that our little 1.5 Litre engine doesn't have much power

However , I installed it at some accesories shop at Klang and somehow they don't seem to be really knowledgeable when it comes to installing this bars on Honda City. Can anyone here who installed the FSB and post a picture up so that i could compare? Thx

Btw, will front lower bar gives significant improvement like front strut bar and anti roll bar? If not that significant, i guess i will skip it... smile.gif...

yes indeed, by default, alarm will not arm when u open the boot with alarm system is on.. even the foreman doesnt know why.. they will remove one wire to enable the alarm..

To my experience, I only have these 3 bars and i can say Anti-roll bar gave me the most improvement
It actually minimizes body roll and lessen understeer in the corner
But just recently installed that 2 point front lower bar, it gave me more steering feedback and more nimble to react when i turn the steering so i can conclude that handling response is better!
But of course, you don't need to install every bars... just get what you need rolleyes.gif

However, if you looking for a huge improvement over stock, and willing to modify some parts
it's always better to save for Wider/Stickier Tyres, Japanese Sport Rims, Adjustable Coilovers to further improve road holding capabilities..

A slower good handling car can sometimes faster than high power average handling car laugh.gif

Usually a strut bar is connected to both ends of strut towers..
But due to limited space in NHC engine room, that strut bar has to connect to the firewall
Which actually serve the same purpose of linking the weight transfer to both end of chassis, thus minimizing roll

Last week I asked for 205/50/16 PS3 and a shop in Cheras quote me RM480.

I'll try to get pictures for the V8(and FSB for those asking). I've been driving for 1k KM with the tyres. I feel the tires absorb uneven surface better, thus on the road, it feels softer than stock GY tire. However, the grip is much better especially in wet. Cornering is really good at high speed even with the softness feel. I haven't heard it slide yet but I haven't found corners that I'm comfortable with to fully test it.

Noise-wise, i can't really make a conclusion about it. Sometimes i think it sounds louder, sometimes, it's quieter.

Btw, here's a price list that I did through the tire survey:

205/50/16
PS3 RM480 - Cheras
S Drive RM370 -Cheras
Nexen n6000 RM270 - Jln Ipoh
ATR Sport RM215 - Jln Ipoh
V12 RM280- Tek Ming (with trade in)

195/50/16
A Drive R1 RM245 Tek Ming Sunway (with trade in)
Hankook V8 - RM245 Tek Ming (with trade in)

Nice summarized tyre pricelist there
Thanks, Irwan6179

I guess Hankook V12 is the most cost efficient
Judged from the fact that its the same Max Performance category as the Michelin PS3
