QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jun 22 2011, 02:22 PM) i dn't know abt west malaysia but u should see where u buy the car from ..proton edar or EON each have their own SC and if not wrong....only 1 SC have your car details and if u want to service at other SC...need to transfer your details to the other SC this is in east malaysia....not sure how it works in the west In my case, car was bought in Penang. However when I wanted to do 1st service on my "hometown", they searched for some kind of doc (dunno wat) among car docs but were unable to find. The Service staff then commented, "Oh... Online wan!" That's it! Service done w/o any prob.

Frankly I'm not one who fuss over FC as long as it's within expected range. My ole ride (1.5I Auto) gave me abt 10km/L on highways. So when me got FL & it gave also abt same FC altho underpowered 1.3 plus on RON95, me very happy!!
No complaints here! Used Petronas 95 Xtra fr Day 1!!

Hope not affect my ride... Added on June 22, 2011, 5:19 pmMy neighbour who got a 2010 BLM oledi got his IAFM changed after less than 5Km use!! QUOTE(pravred @ June 22, 2011, 7:33pm) installed a monoblock and subwoofer in my car now can't hear road sound at 120km/h but at 140-150 i hear the roar hahahaha, guess i can't overcome completely anyway it should be fine cause i don't go above 120 daily driving. Way 2go, bro! Upgrade yr music enjoyment AND "kill" the road/engine noise at same time!!

QUOTE(mysoo @ Jun 22 2011, 09:04 PM) Just got my saga FL last friday. After emptied the tank i pump mobil ron97 to test. Pick up smoother and test it on kesas highway between 80-120 the engine sound lower than using ron95. I was told by others ron95 or 97 makes no different. Is this true or just my imagination ? Feel there shld b some difference. My old ride got better & smoother acceleration plus better FC. However, with higher price per Litre, it kinda cancels out the FC gain!! Haha!

QUOTE(MikKaa @ Jun 23 2011, 10:33 AM) zeone, how to u get 1L free for every 2L? using mobil/esso points to change for free fuel or some sort of credit card that gives extra points? can we change petronas points for free fuel too? Hi! It's my way of comparing...savings I now get fr using RON95 instead of 97! For every 1L RON95 I use now, I save RM1 (b4 price drop!). So every 2L RON95, I save RM2 which pays for 1L RON95 + 10sen leftover! Btw Petronas pts can b used 2buy petrol. Insert yr Pet'nas card 2redeem. QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jun 23 2011, 12:13 PM) pump tyres with nitro will help improve fc rite..? Don't feel so. Only need 2re-pump as often as air. More lasting... Added on June 23, 2011, 12:55 pmSorry... Mistake! Pump LESS often than Air! This post has been edited by zeone: Jun 23 2011, 12:55 PM

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jun 23 2011, 08:10 PM) hey,i remember someone in here a forumer recommend use fully synthetic earlier and the 1.3L engine will do fine.. but some used semi synthetic for some time & change to fully, they report that their engine are not doing well with it.. who is that forumer again? IMHO there's no reason why a change fr semi to fully synthetic engine oil shld cause any prob. Unless, of course, the viscosity/SAE grade is changed, too. Me planning to change when service interval is 10k Km...hehe...cos only then it wld b worth using Fully Synthetics!

Michelin XM2 is HERE! Lots better than XM1... acc2 Ads & launch info. Also size 185/60R14 available...suitable for BLMs/FLs. Price? Arnd RM217? Any takers? Me considering if can get at least RM100 for each of stock GY Ducaro GAs which hv <2k Km of use. Possible? ?? Also more info needed re noise level compared to present Ducaro & XM1s? Any info? No mention of this value in official launch article...if not miss any part.

QUOTE(NewbieBetta @ Jun 23 2011, 09:56 PM) why does service interval 10k is worth the use of full-syn? why not 5k? Fully synthetics can easily last till oil change only after 10k Km... However, I always change the oil filter @5k Km & top up with leftover fully syn oil fr previous oil change. So kinda value for $$$ plus better protection for bearings, etc...

QUOTE(BeNz @ Jun 24 2011, 04:00 PM) For those blm drivers that have low FC, would you mind stating your brand of petrol too so that we could analyze which is better for our cars So far Shell doesn't perform well for me Suggestion....Try different petrol stations, even though they are of the same supplier brand...yu might find one with a difference...Good Luck! ps. I've been using Petronas 95 Xtra...different towns, different stations...so far so good... This post has been edited by zeone: Jun 24 2011, 05:24 PM

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jun 24 2011, 06:29) i give up shell since RON95 released Yup, me, too! Was using Shell V-Power when there was NO RON95... and it was really VERY good! Didn't mind paying the 10...even 20 sen/L xtra for it then!! However, not any more now...Shell VPower same as any RON97. And was RM1 more to pay!! No way!!

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jun 24 2011, 10:49 PM) the 1st service is 1000KM second service u can do at 5000KM or 6000KM also can usually is adding 5000KM into it which is 6100KM adding 5000KM will be more worth your money Yup, my SC also did same...add 5k to 1k and sticker attached to windscreen shows 6+k Km for nxt service! Din see that sticker info till me home la or else wld hv asked why. Feel cos of interpretation that nxt service interval is after 5k Km fr last service. Different fr normal meaning that services are at 1k, 5k & so on ie value denotes Odometer readings or dist travelled by car.
