OEMs are a compromise between functionality & cost. More inclined towards affordability for the common Msian car owner.

Moreover most BLMs are not modded for Sports use. Not worth gping for high end stuff. True?

Feel if wanna replace, juz go for a tad higher quality stuff shld b good enuf.

I suggest you to install a good tint though it's more expensive, don't waste money to install 'normal cheap' tint, no use 1...
*
Ya lo...since yu're gonna install a good tint finally, dun waste good $$$ on doing the cheap tint inbetween. A real waste!

Yup, go straight do the BEST tint yu can afford and dun look back! Enjoy.... rclxms.gif

Added on June 14, 2011, 1:56 pmBTW my FL Exec came with Proton's Ecotint but an extra 3M quality film was added mainly for heat repelling properties. So still good light penetration lo...hehe... wink.gif

my FL Exec came with Tintmaster's tint. How do you know its ecotint? I just know my roadtax had the Tintmaster's cover there. and i have a dark tint on the top of my windscreen which helps block the sunlight from up above.
*
I kno it's Ecotint cos got warranty card fr Ecotint...for 5 years! So feel shld b ok lo. Rite?
Yrs dun hv meh? tongue.gif

Btw feel that front windscreen top xtra dark tint is UNbranded one. It's usually complimentary. icon_rolleyes.gif Hopefully not too low quality type. Haha! rolleyes.gif

the outside door handle?
that wasn't suppose to broke
i think u open the handle the wrong way....did u use the way to open this handle like the other one?
i mean how do i say this....palm is facing up...like open it like the old version handle
this handle you're suppose to put your thumb on the left side and push your thumb and at the same time pull the handle
i remember cuz the SC guy tell me be4...if u open it wrongly...the handle will broke
i saw alot of ppl still dn't know how to open this handle properly...the open it same like the old version one
*
Yup, there's alwaz the correct & wrong way of opening any door. However, it's "paiseh" to tell yr "passengers" how to open yr car door...unless yu wanna b like their "driver" & open for them? Haha! tongue.gif

If quality good, then also not easy to break eg Merz? However, BLM's are chromed plastic handles if not wrong...not real metal ones! Sorry... sad.gif

By the way guys, my estimated servicing date for 15k service is 8 JUNE by proton.
But my mileage is only 13k now. I have to service my car now or wait till 15k?
*
AFAIK service intervals are acc2 Km travelled with an alternative in months. Sooner if vehicle is used in very polluted/dusty areas.

Most SCs give nxt service due as in Odometer reading ie in Km.

However, if distance travelled is very much less in spite of time passed eg 5Km or 3 mths, then the 3 mths due date is advisable.

Finally, it's also a matter of yr pocket vs yr love of yr ride... tongue.gif

yes...double tint is illegal
but if it's light enough...it should be ok

Yup, wat is important & relevant here is not no. of layers but the VLT...yu can hv 1 layer with colour tint & 2nd layer of IR/UV reflective tint which conbined passes legal limit.
True?

That item is only useful for smokers!! cry.gif
If not wrong, it's kinda deep ashtray...tall, same colour as handbrake/gearlever console...with a top with holes, etc like found in an ashtray..with a cover...
Mine came fitted into the rear drink holder behind the brake lever.

I took it out & dump it somewhere in the house...no longer in my 1.3FL Exec AT!! rclxms.gif tongue.gif rclxm9.gif

Bardahl wat? Engine oil? Oil treatment additive eg Bardahl 1?

Engine oil...no xperience...sorry. sad.gif

Oil treatment additive eg Bardahl 1...was using most of the time in my ole ride. Thinking of doing same for new 1.3FL.

However, got different views on usefulness/effectiveness on its use. Any comments fr xperience? TQ! icon_idea.gif

which proves that petronas doesnt have people to spot check their stations, because bigger stations like Shell, BHP, ESSO has ppl to spot check their consistency of the petrol quality

Any "insider" to confirm such wrong-doings?

We've all heard (and can "feel" with our cars) of such so-called "adulteration" of petrol BUT no news of any action taken...

Long ago it was with kerosene, then they coloured it...and later not worth it cos of xpensive kerosene!

Now water??? Phew! rclxub.gif

Just collected my new saga fl exec 1.3 auto. Pump 30 buck Mobil 95 and drive around town. so far :

-engine sound minimal
-no knocking sound
-no sound from absober
-door closed no problem
-Braking working fine, though the step abit compare to my old wira
-alarm ok.
-stereo good.
-very cool aircon
-Acceleration quiet the same as my old wira 1.5 auto. surge in power after i
floor it above 3.5k.

Now happily removing all the plastic cover.

Frankly, if Pre-Delivery staff do their work as they should, all new cars delivered shld b w/o any probs wan!!

Unfortunately there will alwaz b those ppl who do not take their work seriously nor understand the implications of their slack in their responsibilities ie not working for what they are being paid to do!

doesnt really affect the tinting wan la i think.. if like that then alot of cars also will get bubbles lor..
*
Dun think using rear demister wld cause that. I had 3M tint on all windows for myvold ride. I also used the demister quite often. No bubbles.

The only effect (after >15 years) was the lines of the heater element became more "prominent"...

IMHO Bubbling mainly due2 poor quality tint +/- poor workmanship? wink.gif

80 per bar is quite good.

My one:

Top bar = 45km-50km
Second bar = 80km-100km
Third bar = 60km
Fourth bar = 30-40km
Last bar = 10km

By the time fourth bar, the refill oil signal start to pop up.
*
Different FC shown at different fuel gauge bars probably due2 shape of fuel tank...my 2 sen nia. wink.gif

Added on June 17, 2011, 11:33 amYup, sleepwalker, probably true. But if tint more than 5 years (mine >15) then time 2change.

If tint & workmanship high stds then mayb lasts longer. Other factors come into play as well eg length of time each time demister switched on, etc.
