Adui.. U can trade in eh wat.. I juz nt dare to trade in coz i am under warranty still.. If anything happened, i can use back old 1..
*
So does that mean every time yu need to make a Warranty Claim, yu are gonna take out the whole "new" exhaust sys AND re-install back the ori sys?? Phew! No joke... whistling.gif

not sure, but some things there are unnecesarry, but its normal because they wanna squeeze out your money, but as long as you are happy with the car after what they  did, i guess its alright.

check out the first page, second post, there are list of items that are recommended by proton
*
The list of items & procedures carried out (Billing List?) is reminiscent of the Billing Statement which one gets upon discharge fr a private hosp!!

Eg a simple procedure/item 2b charged is broken up in2 a no. of separate smaller procedures...AND billed like separate items... Haha! Smart biznes strategy, huh? whistling.gif

hmmm..i wouldn't say overprice since they changed so many item
but certain item listed are unnecessary...did u complain abt anything?..or they just changed?
things like fanbelt, power streering oil, aicrond gas, compressor oil are unnecessary
fanbelt i think change at 80k KM
power steering usually is topup bt not sure when will need to change
aircon gas...did u complain not cold??
compressor oil i think no need
how old is your car??...tyre haus better change if no thread and near the steel part
i wouldn't say it's overprice...since they change so much thing especially fan belt but i think they changed alot of unnecessary things
*
I feel the main point here is NOT ONLY if those items are necessary or not BUT whether they were actually replaced!! sad.gif

A simple example of "fraud"(?) (as many new owners had observed) is the billing of the "Drain Plug Gasket" during (even @the 1st Service!) Engine Oil Changes! That gasket was NOT changed at all BUT merely RE-used!! sad.gif

Even if those in the list were replaced, it's also felt that a few items were NOT necessary eg aircon gas replacement ( unless parts of aircon sys had 2b dismantled causing total gas loss)... wink.gif

Too long post oledi... Sorry... whistling.gif

if u wanna make sure they got change or not...very easy...just monitor them when they service your car thn you'll know got change or not
the aircon gas would be unnecessary which is why i ask if he got complain or not
if he got complain...they would topup it
but nonetheless....i advised him trying other SC
*
Yup, exactly what me did @SC here...hehe... wink.gif That's how I saw Drain Plug Gasket Re-used altho later billed! sad.gif Din make noise cos 1st visit & din wan 2b too "marked down". Also only RM3+ nia. icon_rolleyes.gif

I was not "forced" 2install "Magnetrap" cos oledi had HDD magnets on my oil filter! Haha! Beat 'em 2it! rclxm9.gif

If still within Warranty Period then kinda NO choice but 2do so at Proton SC. sad.gif

However, yu can save some $$$ by going thru with Service Mgr re items 2b changed or proc 2b carried out. And telling him wat yu don wanna do or change if deemed unnecessary.

Alwaz rber yu're the PAYMASTER!! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi...Juz2share... icon_idea.gif

Ever since I found out that our BLM/FL has a removable aircon filter in its own filter box, I'd decided to improve on the filtration quality cos the ori filter is juz a simple mesh type!! Worse than that of our room aircon! sad.gif

Pic below : See the coarse mesh of ori filter?

NB. Sincere apologies...but appears 2hv prob uploading more pics for this post... sad.gif Am gonna try new post as continuation...

for me i think the ori is give more wind to the aircond

this evening i went back  to the sc to ask why aic cond not cold even though just refill gas

they explained that aftermarket have better mesh filter

need to turn up to 2 to feel air at the back

last time at 30k just clean the filter with compressed air and feels like the air cond power same like new
*
The earlier BLMs had a removable mesh filter with the mesh similar to our room split aircon units wan. That I feel should b good enuf as it is for our room aircons.
However, for my 2011 FL, that kinda mesh is no longer used! Instead, as yu can see fr my posted pic, the mesh is now VERY coarse...mayb to improve air flow force?

But this VERY coarse mesh wld not filter anything except very big particles of dirt!! So kinda like NO filter at all! sad.gif

After getting 2 different 3rd party paper-type filters, I installed each one in turn and chose the better of the 2. I finally managed to fit this one into the Filter Box BUT w/o the Ori Filter.
Today, I managed to fit in the xtra filter with the Ori filter on top of it! Air blower force is still reasonably good @ Speed 2.

And so I wanted to share....BUT....so sorry... rclxub.gif sad.gif

Well, here goes another try to post & share my latest exploit...adventure?

Yup, to put in a 3rd party paper-type aircon filter...for better filtration of the cabin air in our BLMs/FLs... thumbup.gif

First is a repeated pic posted earlier re the Ori aircon filter with its own plastic box frame : Pls hv a good look at the VERY COARSE mesh...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Next pic shows the Aircon Filter Box above the Aircon Blower Unit...located behind the Glove Compartment/Glovebox....
The Ori Aircon Filter goes into the space in the Aircon Box.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

This is the 3rd party Paper-type Aircon Filter that I'd chosen to use out of 2 that I'd bought. At first (2 months ago), I'd installed ONLY the new filter alone ie w/o the Ori Filter BUT somehow felt that it was not a proper fit... tongue.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So what I did today was hopefully to improve on that...tried different ways to put in the Ori AND the New Filter into the Filter Box. At first few tries, the New Filter just would not stay & fit nicely. sweat.gif
Then with careful manipulation of BOTH filters simultaneously, I managed to fit in BOTH & with the New Filter sitting nicely + firmly just below the Ori Filter!! rclxm9.gif

Pic shows both inside the Filter Box...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

This last pic shows the Filter Box front cover refitted onto the front of the Filter Box.

Phew! Finally posted....Eureka!! TQ for reading... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif whistling.gif

UPDATE: Re aircon xtra (3rd party) filter...

Juz now I sat at the back with aircon on Blower Speed 2. Can confirm that I can feel the cold air (fr centre vents) blowing at me!! rclxms.gif thumbup.gif
So xtra Ori & 3rd party filters together does NOT restrict the airflow significantly. icon_rolleyes.gif

Production operator totally based on fixed standard time.

Means to assembly one part, ex door need 10 minutes, they have to follow the establish standard time to finished in 10 minutes, else slow + same salary, who want to work for that?
*
On chk-ing my FL assembly QC labels of engine/Tranx & other internal fittings, they were all done in only TWO(2) days!! No joke, rite? wink.gif

ps. Human "moods" & errors are alwaz there...all assembled parts are supposedly checked & marked after so doing. Question is...does that QC fella REALLY look & chk b4 marking?? rclxm9.gif

1.3 Saga is UNDERpowered. wink.gif If feel that it's very much worse than b4 repairs done, pls go back to SC if still under warranty. Best option.

Good luck!
