Tempted to buy one already smile.gif Early adopters have to pay a much bigger amount though huhu sad.gif Let's say the MY/ SG Asian WiiU version on the way, would the price will be much cheaper for the Asian set? Would like to get some input from you guys biggrin.gif

And would you guys recommend whether to get it now or maybe later? Since early batches is prone to hardware defects etc.

The reason I'm asking is because I've forked almost RM900 when I bought my 3DS back in April 2011, since then the price for the 3DS have went down. But I'm not regretting it at all though hehe thumbup.gif

personally I think Maxsoft (the SG distributor) would probably price around RM1.3K for the deluxe.

I am actually more concern which region would Wii-U games fall under.

Last time Wii game in SG is NTSC-U or NTSC-J?

Hehe, except for you biggrin.gif I guess the price shouldn't be that far off from the price that is being offered right now. As for Asian set, I'm assuming it won't be eligible for Club Nintendo points rite? Or maybe NNID would be structured in a way so that for those regions without Club Nintendo memberships would get the same benefits just like regions having one?

asian set not eligible to be registered on club nintendo US, but it doesn't mean that you cannot link your NNID with your club nintendo account. as usual, you should set your country for both console & nnid to US so that you can access to US eshop & link to your club nintendo account

Got meself the White Basic NZ Wii U with SMBU and ZombiU. From the 14th-18th, Bond & Bond NZ had a promo that dropped the price of the White Basic model down to NZD399. And it fell right on the dates when I was bored witless in Auckland and wanted something for my own birthday present. tongue.gif

i personally don't think the price for "official" set will be lower than RM1450. in fact, i think it will initially go for at least RM1499 (perhaps with a forced game bundle).

they will ride on that original 220-240v AC adapter and so-called warranty. if you know how things work in m'sia especially (Nintendo brand) ... i think you know there isn't THAT much a difference if something really goes wrong.

and you actually mention the word 'early adopters' ... meaning it's either u think about what u WILL GET ... rather than NOT by buying it first, no?

if it doesn't mess up your mind and well-being... then just wait till you feel ok to buy one. no need to over think it *haha*

Yup, personal wellbeing > wallet wellbeing to me. At least when it comes to my OCD of mulling over a purchase so much that it affects my sleep and blood pressure.

Unless breaching into wallet for the Wii U purchase means not eating and therefore starving to death, I'd say just get it. If you waited for a local launch and it means significantly cheaper price, then it's probably worth that wait. If it's the same or more expensive, why the frak wait?

To me, even it is a slight premium, I'd pay to get it faster. The extra cost to me is the price I pay for the days of using and playing with it earlier. If you waited long enough that the local launch is just around the corner, then might as well wait coz you lost that "I get to play/use it early" advantage. What's worse is if the price is actually higher than those who paid to get it early, then you kena troll loh. laugh.gif
