there are no the best or the worst kernel/rom/modem. different phone and user might have different experience. for example, i like to eat durian but not everyone right? so you have to read more and try more to find the one suit you the most. for me darkcore not bad.

The only thing I don't like about the keyboard is I can't set the duration of long press. Have to press and wait quite long for the 2ndary character to appear.

In CM7 gingerbread keyboard, there is this option. I usually set it to appear twice as fast as the normal length. This saves my time and keying in numbers in password is very fast. Sadly gingerbread keyboard don't have Chinese inpu=_=;;;

but just upgraded to JVP with speedmod..quite stock la..

from my experience upgrade from eclair 2.1 to froyi 2.2 all my apps and setting will still remain

however if u r root ur sgs u can do backup through titanium backup

erm... i got 2 answer here...

for glass, usually the better scratch resistant it is, the more prone of cracking from direct impact..
i think you never drop it sideways or direct to the glass right?
but maybe this gorilla glass is really durable..
